We only stayed one night however we found the room to be comfortable and clean. The host was very nice and recommended a place for dinner. He also told us about a performance by the junior pipe band in town which we were glad we didn't miss. It is an easy walk into the main part of town.

Well, this is a classic example of how GOOD PICTURES CAN MAKE A PLACE BETTER THAN REALITY…

As a matter of fact, this guest house is not ugly, but certainly it’s not as charming as it looks on the website, and especially the view from it…

It’s location it’s central, yet quiet, at the top of the hill from the harbor, restaurants and shops (300 m).
The view from there however isn’t that nice, and our room OVERLOOKED THE PARKING, AND THE ANNOYING ORANGE LIGHTS in front of the school (even during the night).

Both room and shower room were just ok, but even though the shower worked well, it’s draining didn’t; and the heating, kind of hot when we arrived, in the morning was completely off.

The “WELCOME” here was MINIMUM REQUIRED, COLD AND IMPERSONAL, as the reception room style… so far from being cozy.

And last the BREAKFAST (except for cooked food, that we didn’t taste): BANAL, medium (to low) quality.

After several hours on the motorbike, what a nice place to stay, helpful staff, had 2 twin rooms, warm, clean, comfy and en-suite very nice too, kfast included which was needed to assist with the next part of the journey.

Room Tip: nice, clean and very affordable, what more do you need for a one night rest

We turned up in Ullapool with no booking after 8pm and found this wee gem. Great rooms, immaculately kept, great size and we could see the river . Charlie and his staff made us very welcome and breakfast was great too. Why stay in impersonal hotels when there are lovely places like this.
