We had a family Sunday lunch here. Greeted at door and as we were early, waited in library. Such a nice way to start and relax rather than charging in. Canapés were tasty. The maitre d was excellent and attentive. Food was traditional rather than contemporary but was classy, both in construction and cooking. Liked that the meat and supporting elements we proportionate rather than the danger of huge helpings designed to please with quantity over quality in some other places. After dessert we had coffee back in lounge which was a great way to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and digest. In Summer the beautiful gardens are worth a stroll. So I would happily recommend if you let yourself relax into it. It is traditional and it could be argued that some menu elements could be contemporised but this is conform and tradition with a touch of Franci Scots.
