“Three bedrooms, very comfortable”

Apartment has two double bedrooms and a single. Comfortable sitting room with couch and chairs. Owners were very friendly. Good wifi.
If you are staying in Church Stretton you will have to drive over the Long Mynd. An experience in itself.

“Beautiful area and lovely house”

We loved Church Stretton and the gorgeous surrounds. There are lots of walks from the doorstep and a good few tearooms, restaurants and pubs. We went between Xmas and New Year so a few shops were shut over the season - but still some great quaint independent places. And a supermarket a walking distance away, which was handy. The antique market will certainly draw us back in the future - some great gems there!

The biggest drawback was the bed. Very, very uncomfortable. This would stop us booking the house again. This is a shame because it is a lovely place. The bedstead is not sturdy and rocks with every movement. In addition, the mattress is in need of replacing due to overused springs.

It was a bit of an effort to get the £100 deposit refunded. We had to chase it after a month and could not get it refunded through Trip Advisor (which is how we paid it) or get a bank transfer. It did arrive promptly in the post by cheque when we enquired after it.

Overall a lovely house - a great rental in a wonderful part of the country. Good walking, day trips and antique shopping.

“Good location”
Reviewed 5 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Positive features: 1. Location near restaurants, supermarket, bus stop, easy access to fine hill walking. 2. Well-maintained and equipped property. 3. Warm welcome from owner, including wine, snacks etc.
Negative features: 1. Rather poky - would be too confined for people of greater than average height or width. 2. Bathroom on ground floor only. Apart from these, the property would score 5 stars.

“FANTASTIC. One of the best equipped cottages we have ever rented.”

We stayed over the valentines weekend and wanted for nothing. Sally greeted us to hand over the keys and answer any questions we had.
The welcome hamper was excellent quality and very well thought out.
Plenty of logs, firelighters etc to ensure a cosy stay in front of the log burner.
I must say that the best thing for us was the thought that has gone into providing anything you may need for your stay (there is nearly always a trip to the local shop to get something not provided) not here!
We would recommend this cottage to anyone who is in this area!

“First class”

We booked the cottage based on reviews on Trip Advisor. And they were spot on. What a charming cottage. We couldn't have asked for more.

From the welcome we received from Sally, and the basket of goodies, to the logs stocked for the fire and overall warm atmosphere in this well-maintained property.

The cottage is ideally located in Church Stretton for local walks, as well as the pubs, shops, antique stores just up the road. Parking was no problem.

We'd happily visit this beautiful part of the country, and the cottage again. Thank you.
