Had a Saturday lunch , during a our walk , The beer was good ( Murphy's ) The house white wine was dry & Bitter , I had fish chips & garden peas , which considering the lack of quality was quite expensive for nearly £12 , ( plus i thought was small portions too ) the so called dessert of flavoured coffee chocolate pudding ,was more like cheap cake which i found to be extremely sweet & sugary , the garlic bread was OK , the inside of the bar seemed dull & gloomy & virtually empty , ( The staff seemed friendly , but overall the meal was poor & expensive ) i wont be going back there , that's for sure !

It's clear the Bulls Head has its admirers. It has much in ts favour - reviews suggest the food is good, although beer and skittles night meant it finished too early for me to consider it - there is a good sdlection of real ale and the rooms in a terrace alongside the pub are spacious with big TVs. But it does have limitations, especially for the business traveller. The lack of reliable wifi - my mobile dongle did not work either as this is a very rural area - was shrugged off without concern, or with the knowledge that little could be done, and meant I had to drive to Market Harborough to sit in a layby to finish my work. And the room was chilly, and I could not get the radiator to come on: not a great welcome. Perhaps the love it clearly shows for its locals does not entirely translate into ensuring the comfort of staying guests. I wish it well because country pubs need to survive but personally I have a few misgivings.

Came here for food and a drink. Such a warm welcome from a proper family run country pub. Food was amazing with a great range of real ales. Service excellent food exceptional beer kept perfect will defiantly be returning regular.

We stopped here for two night bed & breakfast. Large room with large bathroom. Very clean. Good shower and lge towels. Good breakfast always hot. Friendly and helpful staff. Food was very tasty. Off road parking to the rear of the pub. The rooms are in purpose built buildings to the rear.

This pub is excellent for food and everything is home cooked. The pub itself is old and traditional and could do with a refurb in places. They have a bed and breakfast facility and the drinks selection is good also and the atmosphere is pleasant. My only criticism is that the staff are not particularly welcoming or overly friendly. If you are a local it seems a different story. I would think with the immense pressure and competition these days that the priority would be to give high levels of service.
