We stayed in Lyme Regis for a few days on our "mini" moon. The hotel was lovely, our room was very clean and comfy with a beautiful sea view, the staff were friendly and very helpful with local recommendations for local bars and restaurants and the breakfast which was included with our room was delicious.
Thank you for making our trip fab.

Booked well in advance, then a few days prior to arrival, got an e mail saying restaurant closed. Disappointed about that. Our room was small, adequate but dark and looked out at a dead fir tree and a part of the building that looked like a very unkempt shed. Bathroom was small but clean and quite nice and modern, even though on arrival the shower door was falling off and due to the lack of a handy man, the receptionist provided us with a screw driver so my husband could fix the door. Receptionist was extremely pleasant on arrival and offered help to find alternative dining, booking us a table at a restaurant nearby, which she recommended. Breakfast was quite good, bacon especially good and decent sausage. The toast however was hard, cold and chewy. Kellogs cereals though; always a plus. No views really to speak of. Nice garden but needed a bit of love. Hotel generally clean except stairs and landing to rooms 1 - 15. Tea and coffee in room but ridiculous kettle with short lead that wouldn't reach to the dressing table. Hairdryer ancient and I thought it was going to blow up; (bring your own to prevent electrocution). Great to be able to park at hotel and walk into town and to the Cobb, but beware, very steep hill on way back! Shops and bars/restaurants nearby. Co-op and Tesco Express short walk for papers etc, but remember the hill! Bring your binoculars to watch the TV in the room. It's flatscreen but very small. Comfortable bed. Overall OK but not worth the money we paid in our opinion.

Having requested a quiet room we were given one overlooking a busy road and the hotel car park on the other side of said road. (The views from the back of the hotel are probably very good).

We were woken after midnight by people yelling in the road outside and then, at 7.00 the next morning by a large delivery truck which pulled up right outside our room with much clattering and crashing around around for the next hour. A quiet room indeed!

On a positive note the room was comfortable, clean and well decorated.

Room Tip: Request a room at the rear of the hotel

The hotel was clean and tidy and the room was quite comfortable. The television was on the window sill and could only be watched from the bed which was just as well as there was only one chair in this double room. Usually when I'm in a hotel the lack of Wi-Fi wouldn't bother me but this time I was on business and coverage would have been useful. The room was situated above the bar and unfortunately it was frequented until the early hours so sleep was difficult. The breakfast was fine and I couldn't really complain about anything but something wasn't quite right the stay. Would I use the hotel again? Possibly.

The hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful. Breakfasts were very good with a varied choice. Having its own car park just over the road meant we didn't have to go searching for parking in the town and get caught up in the busy town centre. Being slightly out of the main town meant a 10 minute walk DOWN to the main attractions BUT that did mean a 20minute walk back. However, after the the walk back it was lovely to be able to sit in the garden with a drink and enjoy the view. Only problem was with the plumbing ..sink plug mechanism didn't work and the toilet cistern was VERY slow refilling (slight problem with two of us).

Room Tip: Rooms at the back will be quieter
