After many family holidays to Lyme Regis we ate at The Royal Standard for the first time and the food was delicious with large portions.

Great spot close to the beach and main car park.
We had children’s & adults fish & chips, scampi & pork belly, all of which were served quickly, hot, nicely presented and delicious in taste.
Very welcoming with ample space for pushchairs and children.
My only feedback would be the cleanliness of the toilets (which must be hard with people off the beach) and highchairs had food dried on.

Thank Joss S

Great English seaside food with a Greek influence. The souvlaki came with a very fresh Greek salad, warm flat bread and really good chips. The hake was perfectly cooked and served on a bed of cheese and spring onion mash. The puddings sounded delicious but we were too full to try them. It's dog and family friendly, is a real sun-trap in the summer and has a roaring fire going in the winter. The new raised seating at the front of the beer garden is perfect for people watching and catching the sun. We'll be back to sample a pud!

We only stopped for coffees but we're well served and enjoyed quality and reasonable coffees in a sunny courtyard out of the fresh breeze.
We were alone when first in but we're soon joined by many other customers !
Enjoy

My wife and I visited the Royal Standard for lunch. We departed after a good feed with me leaving my credit card. The staff found the card and held on to it until my agitated return the next day. THANKYOU!!!
For me, the staff at the Royal Standard went the extra mile.

Called in for lunch and a drink. The staff were very friendly and the food whilst it was simply cooked food, was well cooked and presented well. Its not expensive and there was lovely fresh seafood on the menu. We sat outside and because of the netting overhead we were not bothered by seagulls. Such a great idea it was lovely not having to be aware that the seagulls could take your lunch at any time!!!
