Description: This popular pub has been owned by the same family since the 1880.s.We still offer a great range of local, high quality ales, Westcountry ciders and a varied wine list. Our Chef uses really local produce for her very tasty menu, come and try some of our pies, curries, Sunday roasts or just a Cream Tea. We look forward to seeing you soon!

A poor start for our party of eight senior citizens when we had to go to the bar to order food, we would have thought somebody could have made the effort to come over to the table!
The low light of the starters was a small fishcake at £6.25 a time, a very nice small fishcake but almost insulting price.
The mains were all perfectly OK except, again, the prices for what came were very high. A decent sized piece of chicken breast, some mushrooms in a white sauce, some chips and a share of a bowl of mediocre winter vegetables which were plonked at the far end of the table, with no indication who they were for, was much overpriced.
The desserts at £6.45 were the same old story.
The general consensus was never again.

Always never sure of the welcome at this pub. Great location and some of the staff are excellent. Food arrived very very quickly but not great probably not the best time at 1.30 and at 15 pound for a Sunday roast would have hoped for a better lunch than disappointing roast beef.

Our first time staying in the area, and we booked the Rock Inn because it was very close to our accommodation. We had a nice evening here, good food and nice local beers, we both ate the fish and chips, very nice. All of the staff were friendly. Very popular with the locals it seems.

We ate dinner at this pub recently and were a bit disappointed. I had expected a place with more character, but found it a bit bland. The staff were helpful and the place comfortable, but I wasn't tempted to stay after I had finished my meal. We had the steak and ale pie, which was supposed to be very good, but found that whilst there was plenty of filling, the pastry was a bit like eating cardboard.

A popular pub offering a good selection of classic pub grub and decent beers with friendly service. We enjoyed our homemade pie and chips.
