Fantastic location in the country just outside Padstow. Cottages are immaculately clean and tidy. Ours had lots of room and as we were travelling with 2 small children it was great for us.
Lots of outdoor things for the children (beware of duck poo!), trampoline was great. (indoor toys by pool could do with a clean!) The swimming pool was nice and warm although only open from 10am to 6pm. We took a dog which we felt wasn't that welcome! The hosts were a bit over the top on the rules for the dog! There is a lot of other small rules to adhere to and it was making me a bit worried all week because there is a £25 if you don't leave the cottage 'as found!'. Overall, a great place, peace and quiet, and ok if you don't mind paying extra for towels and electricty!!! Beaches fairly nearby and camel trail is great for cycling.

Whilst we welcome dogs, we do restrict them to certain cottages and certain times of year. We make no apologies for having "dog rules", in fact we are proud of being careful on this matter, as we wish to maintain standards for all our guests. We always make our main "dog rules" clear at time of booking - and these rules are no different to those of any other establishments that want to maintain hygiene in the cottage and it's garden for all cottage users. Sadly because of a number of unfortunate experiences over the years , in order to continue to be able to accept dogs, we have had to set down in wrtiting what to the vast majority of dog owners is common sense. - we do apologise for this on our "information for dog owners" sheet. This particular booking did give me some concern at first. - In this case the booking was originally for a different cottage and no dog, however the guests then wanted to bring their parent's dog along, as their parents were going abroad, and so I did offer to accommodate the family and dog in a suitable cottage. Whilst I did allow a variation to the original booking to accept the dog, as it wasn't their dog (although I was told they had looked after it a lot) I did feel I had to be particularly careful to make clear what was expected of the dog owners. Indeed it may have been that our guests had not acutally taken a dog "on holiday" before, and certainly had probably not been away with a dog and young family (they had 2 beautiful baby girls), and so may not have known what was expected. At the end of the day we only welcome dogs and their responsible owners! - We do need to protect our cottages and our farm enviroment for all our guests and dog owners must appreciate that. The reviewers were responsible "owners" and would be welcome back. With regard to the £25 cleaning service mentioned, standard self catering booking terms are to leave accommodation clean and tidy "as found". However we do offer a reasonably priced £25 cleaning service option, as we do recognise that guests are on holiday and may not have the time or inclination to leave "as found". This is purely optional. I am sorry if making this option available causes guests concern. We thank the vast majority of our guests for looking after our cottages and helping to maintain standards for everyone. We have a GTBS silver award and are very concerned with protecting the enviroment. We believe that charging for electricity at cost is the best way to encourage efficient usage. This is made clear to guests on our literature.
