I am always a bit doubtful trying Indian restaurants abroad, yes I know that sound a bit odd but there we are, so anyhow after several days of hotel buffet food we were ready for a drastic change. You can see the restaurant from the promenade, getting to it was another story. You climb up through a warren of deserted indoor stairs, passages & bars and eventually arrive at the Rani. Don`t let this put you off it is well worth the effort.
We were greeted by a charming Asian young man who, speaking very good English, made us feel welcome. We were swiftly presented with menus and a drinks order was taken. The waiter recommended several dishes which we decided to try. All I can say is that it was superb and one of the best curries I have ever had. The nan breads were to die for. We went three time during our stay and will definitely return.
