Booked this with my partner, it's a good 40 min walk to Nerja or a decent beach such as Burriani beach. Maro beach is tiny with no facilities and a few nudests!
Beautiful place however a bit out of the way and a car would of been better.
Hotel is advertised as having a pool however this is not the case which is why I am not giving a better review as false advertising.
Staff lovely and very friendly and helpful. Breakfast ok but no variety.
Rooms very basic with a 1 foot balcony and no where to dry beach things.
Nerja is beautiful and will definitely return.

I was always put off by Spain because I hate places like Benidorm, Torremolinos etc. I hit on Nerja by chance. I was on a budget and prefer quiet, peaceful places so Maro and this hotel sounded good. I was not disappointed! I have just returned from the most fabulous holiday! The hotel was fine. Rooms basic but spotless, linen and towels changed every day, food good, staff friendly, and the location… Perfect.
Maro beach is absolutely gorgeous, The village is quiet, friendly and the bonus is… Walking distance to the caves. Do not miss this amazing natural phenomenon. We were awestruck. Nerja itself is really nice, approx 2 miles away. Bus service very cheap… One euro, or taxi approximately nine euros (about £8) We loved it especially in the evening when the musicians and artists come out on the Balcon de Europa. There are plenty of good places to eat, Tapas bars etc at decent prices. On our last night we went to the Burro Blanco (Thursday evenings) to an amazing flamenco display. Finally, don't miss Frigiliana, a gorgeous hillside village with white-washed buildings, tiny cobbled streets and amazing views. I am now totally in love with this part of the world!

Way too expensive for what is delivered. For 95€/night we expected a more than this dated establishment, with a pool that is out of service (we got informed only upon arrival, it was not stated at the time of booking!) and a breakfast from the 80s. The balcony with sea view was a small plus, but we’d rather enjoy the view from the pool that we had expected to be available. We have stayed in similar places and they charge around 50-60€/night.

Just returned from this hotel, couldn’t fault the staff they were very pleasant and helpful especially Maria who told us places to visit and how to get there.
The meals were very good and well presented, only thing the starter was as big as main course, too much they need to reduce size of starter so as to enjoy the main course.
We did look forward to a roof top pool, unfortunately no water in the pool, decorating going on roof top also at the front of the hotel the painters scraping loose paint off falling on to our veranda.
We felt let down seeing decorating going on around us surely this should have been done in the winter months ready for the holiday makers in June.

Stayed here last October (2nd or 3rd week) in the main building
First of all the food was really good! Rooms are basic and a bit traditional if you're into that. Staff are always happy to help and not overbearing which is really nice.
The thing that we really liked was how quiet the hotel was
It made our stay much more relaxing and our sleep awesome!

Room Tip: room in the main building is ideal
