We enjoyed this market , it was a mixture of local and tourist stuff, there were some good bargains on shoes and handbags. Also the local fruit and veg looked wonderful

Maybe I have been a bit spoiled experiencing the Market in Cabo de Palos and Malaga, but ..... it was a bit too messy and too much staff around you would not buy. Some good vegetables and fruits, but not so many producers and abundance of them. Disappointing because the climate is really good for crops around the year. The location is good and probably it was the winter mood ruling the business...
It was unforgettable nice the feeling as we have been leaving the Market next to the exit someone but a lovely one put a basket full of just picked lemons. And a notice: Organic lemons, please take one or two :) All the best to this person

Typical Spanish market, held on Tuesday mornings, a mix of tourist items and a few fruit, vegetables and spice stalls, not very big and a fair way from the centre. We caught the no.1 urban bus outside the Riu Monica hotel, cost 1 € and takes approx. 10 mins. There are no places to get refreshments in the market area but if you walk back down the hill there are a few cafes before you get to the main town. The walk is easy and takes about 25-30 mins.

This was an amazing local market. As usual you had to distinguish the crap from the bargains but I managed to get some amazing deals on spices, fruit and veg as well as men's shirts, belts and even a paella pan. Well worth the visit.
