What an experience! Lovely ambience which was evident from when we set foot in the restaurant, incredibly knowledgeable and attentive waiters and delicious food & wine! Not sure if this has a Michelin star, but it should! We've been to way more expensive and less interesting places in London which had them...

The place is super classy but not in a brash, nouveau riche type of way that screams "look at us". Service is spot-on, but nonintrusive and the restaurant feels understated, yet confident. It is perfect for a dinner for two, a catch-up with an old friend, or for any group of people looking to have a great meal and some amazing wine. And the prices are really not that different from what you find for fish'n chips/steak type places down the road from here. Sorry to be blunt, but if you would rather have fish & chips for ~the same price as trying this sort of inventive European food you really should have your passport taken off you!! What an amazing opportunity to have delicious food at an affordable price. I sometimes have to pay £16 for a GLASS of mediocre wine in Mayfair vs. €16 for a BOTTLE OF amazing wine at this place? (The amazing wine btw was the Barbazul 2012 red). Desserts are all large, home-made creations at €5 each while you pay €4 down the road for a factory made ice cream dessert? You do the math...

We had the seared scallops (yum!) and mini burgers to start (burger perfection), followed by the Moroccan lamb (super tender) main and another starter, the iberian pork dumplings (think China meets Andalusia - very interesting!), topped off by the red velvet brownie to share (very good, but annoyingly we had our hearts set on a chocolate dessert while this was definitely more fruity). In addition to this, we got some "freebies" in the form of a gazpacho shot, chicken empanada, lovely olive rolls with artisan olive oils and a shot of apple/pineapple/mint smoothie to cleanse the palate.

There is nothing more to say than GO! You'd be a fool not to! If you'd rather dine on a diet of fish'n chips for the rest of your life after having this food, so be it, but at least you tried! ;-)

Went twice last week whilst on holiday. We both think this restaurant should be No.1. The presentation, taste, quality of food and service is incredible. The lamb with cous cous was delicious. The tuna just melted in my mouth. My husband had 3 oysters starter and the duck - cooked to perfection. Both starters, mains and desserts are presented so beautifully, with so much depth of flavour. Red wine - very good and not too expensive. The bill was less that £60 for really good quality food! We knew we would not be disappointed - we visited last year as well. We'll be back!!

We visited La Solana on the first night of our holiday and it got us off to a great start. The food is very different from most of the restaurants on the Costa del Sol with a range of interesting dishes including meat, fish and vegetarian. One of our group is a real 'foodie' and he referred to his starter as 'sumptuous' - perhaps the best he had ever had - in fact everything was delicious - beautiful flavours, very friendly service and good value for an excellent meal. It was very quiet on a Sunday night - we hope that more visitors will try La Solana and really appreciate the top class food.
