On a quieter street from the square this place offers really good spanish fare. They had two menu options, for 9e and 15e. Was by myself for lunch, and opted for the 15e. A seafood soup, grilled sole and a cheesecake. Also included one beverage. The soup was sensational. Does not look much, but man the taste made up for it. A couple of delicious shrimps, some tiny clams and a bit of octopus. The broth was just sensational, could drive 100 miles right now for that. Oh and croutons are normally an after-thought, but now they soaked all that heavenly broth and still could taste good bread too. Grilled sole was very good. Cheesecake I have not eaten over 5 times lifetime, have to reconsider if they come close to this. Out the door with a big smile :) Oh and espresso really good too.
Last day so had to go back in the evening with a friend. This time gambas pil-pil and bbq entre-cote plus a chocolate cake. All very good, choc could not compete against the cheese cake though, not even close. House white and red wines were pretty good. Service was friendly and efficient, though on lunch I was forgotten a couple of times. Very helpful on explaining the daily menus and at least that waiter spoke pretty good english.
If you like spanish food with affordable prices, check this place out! Now somehow I will try to get that soup ouf of my head...
