Overall the hotel is not a bad place to stay if you want reliable and clean. However, it does have a lot of downsides that I will breakdown below.

Check-in -
Very smooth and the area smelt really good. The service was good from Pablo. It was quite late at night so no queue. You will have to pay a deposit of €200 upon arrival to cover any charges (got this back on check-out).

Deluxe Room -
Whilst the room was clean and had a decent view, the shower was right beside the bed and the toilet door does not close completely. Would not recommend if you like privacy when using the toilet or shower. The shower tended to drip randomly during the night and as this is right beside the bed can keep you awake. Cleaning of rooms was done each day and bed was made. (Mini bar was available but a bottle of water was €4 euro or €4.50 for a small bag of crisps).

Breakfast -
This was a buffet in the Med restaurant. Well maintained at the weekend but not so much during the week. Poor service from staff at breakfast one morning when I asked for a certain spread they had the day before he attempted to put several times another on my plate which I didn’t want. Appreciated that breakfast was on to 12 at weekends and 11 weekdays.

Pools -
Let down massively by the pools and somewhat misled, the hotel advertises 3. Only 1 is free to use. Infinity pool you have to pay for subbed €100 (€75 of this you have to use at bar which is dearer than other bars). Another pool you have to be a member of the Spa to use, this looked like the best pool. Finally, the pool at the Med was free to use and was good but there is no shelter at the sun beds to get a break from the sun (although sun beds were comfy).

Location -
The hotel is on a very steep hill we used the tram service provided free 09-18 and taxis outside of this time. Would not recommend walking. The train station is on the tram route and is useful for day trips. No bars/restaurants located within a reasonable walking distance.

Dinner -
We went for half board - wouldn’t do this again. You could only use 2 restaurants and were restricted to a smaller choice than the full menu entails. The restaurant Arara only has 3 choices for starter, 3 mains and 3 Desserts when going half board, think twice before you do. I also asked for a dessert to be heated and the server said it couldn’t be done at the Med restaurant. Seemed like poor organisation and management at the Med restaurant, asked for the bill on one occasion and the server took 30 mins to bring to us after being asked twice.

Service -
Standout service for me has to be the Valet (his name I can’t remember right now) he greeted us everyday with a smile and a friendly hello, a credit to any hospitality business and one to be treasured! Also the tram drivers, whilst not an incredibly thought job, they took time in waiting and looking for guests looking to get on rather than just short pit stops, this made it feel like a more meaningful service.

Overall -
I probably wouldn’t stay here again as the room wasn’t great for being a ‘Deluxe room’ and the half board basis is not worth the extra cost (although the presentation of the food was great). The service was great by many, but massively let down by the few. Finally, given the situation with the pools and the location of the hotel I would only recommend for a quick 2/3 day getaway if you plan on spending most of your time within the hotel and are prepared to pay extra for the different facilities.

I am extremely sarisfied with the service RUBEN gave me at the infity pool. He was very accomodating and anticipates my needs! Very hospitable.

The hotel was amazing! And the food was nice it was pleasure staying here! I will definitely comback soon

Lovely suite unfortunately over the entrance to the garage and the road but with nice views beyond.

isolated location on a hill with 21% gradient, which means a taxi is required to get to any bars or restaurants. After 2300hrs there is no bar open at the hotel so your only option is room service!! Oh and on 2 out of the 5 nights the rooftop bar wasn’t available it had private functions.

Great sports facilities, but spa area and changing rooms dirty, discarded band aids around the pool, very slippery with no sign of cleaning during our 90 minutes. Sun beds on the terrace frayed, robes with holes, very disappointing.

Swimming pools don’t open until 11am.

DO NOT take half board. Breakfast ok but slow on refills and clearing plates. The options for dinner are limited, restaurant Med awful food, long service delays and the poor staff are trying their best but no processes or management. Hour long waits between courses if you can catch anyones attention to get a menu or place your order. The alternative Arara seems to open on certain nights, you have a very limited menu, 3 starters, 2 mains, 3 deserts.

There was no management presence during the 5 day stay and the queue at reception with guest complaining was 6 in line after us.

Delighted to be leaving this Hilton as it’s not 5* and the lack of management anywhere is woeful.

The room design was unique. The shower opened directly next to bed into main room and bathroom was an open concept and not private and very loud. We had the shower back up and flood the room and received a minimum amount of help cleaning up. The AC also was not working correctly but we didn’t report until check out

Location and property is beautiful. Rooms were excellent and very clean, AC worked when we were finding a lot of hotels on our trip had faulty AC systems. Also the facilities available including the pools and gym were really good. The service was exceptional, staff were very friendly, always smiling and eager to help, our rooms were always made up by our return from breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, it was very good, I would only ask that they also include the option of poached eggs. All in all it’s on my list of favorite places to stay at again.
