A nice old fashioned hotel in Aughrim village. Has a large bar area which serves good food and also served a very good breakfast Bar menu is good and worth a visit. Rooms have everything you need. Not huge but comfortable and clean. Very much an old world hotel - actual keys for the rooms. Great value for a comfortable hotel. .

Room Tip: Rooms at back get less noise

Stayed here while at a wedding in Ballybeg house. Had a lovely welcome and the room was clean if a bit dated. The breakfast was absolutely beautiful. However when we arrived back at 2 and went into bar for a nightcap we were met with 4 lads and a girl behind the bar who didn't work there. The bar man was friendly but was still serving these lads who were extremely aggressive, even though one of them we learned was a local guard! Took one mouthful of my pint and left because we were made feel so uncomfortable! My brother in-law and sister had gone into the bar an hour before us but had to leave when two of the lads were pushing each other outside the toilet and the girl trying to stop them. My brother in-law bumped into girl and said sorry but then the lads turned on him!
The hotel was grand but if they continue to let locals into the RESIDENTS bar to drink all night it wont be long till gets a very bad name!

Like the rest of Aughrim, this facility is very appealing and so well maintained. The rooms are a bit small and dated but have a nice atmosphere to them and spotless clean. The publ/restaurant are just what you would hope to find. And the setting beside the bubbling brook/river is superb.

Room Tip: Probably quieter away from road but this is a small, peaceful village

Stayed 4 nights in April - lovely traditional boutique hotel in rural Wicklow village. Requested and was given room 11 - massive room with lovely free-standing bath in the room. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Hotel was spotless. We loved eating in the bar/lounge - huge breakfast. Excellent evening meals - huge portions. Free wifi. Comfy bed. Only a few Irish TV channels on TV. Lots of hot water with good water pressure.
As a small hotel there is no lift so make sure you are ok going up flight of stairs to bedrooms. Next time we are in Wicklow we will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: ask for room 11 - huge with freestanding bath and large ensuite with large shower. Views obscured by roof.
