Called here after having a much needed and rare few hours out with my elderly mother who is wheelchair bound, father and sister. When we arrived, we were met in the restaurant by an absolute gentleman who kindly explained about the carvery, food available and got us a comfortable table with space for my mams chair. His kindness meant alot. Unfortunately that is where the pleasantries ended. When we got to the carvery, we were served by a young lady who I can only describe as abrupt and snappy. Genuinely felt we had inconvenienced her by being there. We had to ask for a tray, as there was none available, and she gave us one tray for two large pots of tea, deserts, milk cutlery cups saucers..I rearranged the tray myself and ended up carrying 4 cups and plates in my hands, no offer of assistance and not busy. When I asked if there was any scones available I was told I could check at the bar ( which was closed). I just left it. I felt rushed, and very uncomfortable. I couldnt help but notice how friendly she had been to the couple before us so was taken back. 2020 has been an extremely difficult year for us all. A smile and a welcome can mean so much. Again a massive thank you to the lovely gentleman who greeted us and was
so kind and welcoming. It meant alot. Food was beautiful too.

Just spent the weekend here with our 3 kids. Had a fantastic stay. The pool was a great size and the kids had a great time. The lake view from our room was stunning but what really makes this hotel is the food. It was really fantastic in both the bar and restaurant. Great selection for both adults and kids. Great selection for breakfast and they managed Covid restrictions really well without limiting breakfast options. We'd definitely go back again

As most people in Ireland it was a Staycation mini break. We all had a fabulous two days in the Bloomfield hotel. We where greeted at reception with full of smiles and kindness . The staff in bar where fantastic. Polite and full of smiles and helpful. I have to mention one member of staff who stood out was Caoimhe nothing was too much trouble and so friendly. Food was lovely and desserts so nice .We had music on the Monday night which was a bonus. Breakfast was well organised and again staff very helpful. Swimming pool was great, pity about the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. But I understand due covid. And not to forget the lovely walk down to Lough Ennel. Overall great break and it's the little of things that matters but lovely to be able to spend time with the family .

Decided to have sons christening even during this strange time as didn't want to wait. Nervous how it would work with restrictions but cannot thank all at bloomfield for making it so enjoyable. Especially Sarah who looked after us on the day.
Everything was perfect. Food was out of this world!
Thanks for making my sons day so memorable for all the good reasons and not because of covid!!
