Stayed here last night with my son enroute to Dublin.. as soon as I saw the hotel from outside my heart sank..unfortunatly we had prepaid..otherwise I would have cancelled..
Outside the hotel is grubby, rundown and very unappealing.
Inside felt old, grubby and uncared for..
The room was stuffy with no ventilation other than a window which opened on to a v noisy St.
Breakfast was laid out in the bar which again was stuffy and stale.
I drank a glass of juice and a slice of toast. The v basic buffet looked as tired as the rest of the hotel and I wouldn't risk touching it.
We were only passing through so definitely would not plan to return.

Clean, comfortable rooms with comfy beds, clean bathroom with plenty of hot water. Nicely decorated, warm and quiet, considering it's on one of the main streets, which also means great location. Nice friendly staff, decent FREE wifi and a yummy breakfast. €95 for a twin room with breakfast on a Friday night is pretty good! If you're looking for The Ritz then pay for The Ritz. If you're looking for somewhere conveniently located that's warm, clean and comfy with a good breakfast for a good price this is the spot!

I recently booked in the Newbury Hotel Mullingar. To my disappointment the hotel was very run down. The rooms were very outdated..not at all modern (no flat screen TV's or the like) The lobby smelled of stale beer and food and the odour from the Chinese attached was overwhelming in the bar. The receptionist was rude and clearly didn't enjoy her job as was noted by her shortness with answering requests. All and all I was extremely disappointed and will not return unless there are some serious changes.

Room Tip: Try The Greville Arms or The Annebrook. A good B&B would be of better standard

Lovely hotel, very clean. The rooms were very spacious. Stayed as part of a large family group, plenty of room for everyone. Well located in town. Breakfast was lovely, freshly cooked and served quickly. Garvin and all the staff were very helpful. I would recommend to anyone and would definitely stay again.

Great location, personal service and attention to detail, Couldn't be more convenient, lots of parking and everything within walking distance, we were warmly welcomed and enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend this family run hotel for anyone looking to explore Mullingar area.
