We stopped off in Slane for lunch during a long drive. This really is a gem of a find. Beautiful quaint hotel with the most friendly accomodating staff. It was a really busy Sat afternoon but we got a table in the beautifully decorated room almost immediately. The service was excellent. We have been looking for room for a family function and a friendly staff member showed us the function room. It was bright and beautifully decorated overlooking a lovely garden and would be suitable for a wedding or party. There was a fabulous library room and other lovely little spaces throughout. Lunch was lovely and great value. We will be back!

We met Louise in January 2017 a month after we got engaged. We wanted to book a venue for our wedding of 65 guests ( we ended up with 67 in the end). Other venues informed us that we would be a Mid week wedding because of our numbers, they had minimum numbers for Friday's/ Saturday's . Not so with the Conyngham Arms, from the beginning Louise and all of the staff were friendly, helpful, full of advice and calming!! They couldn't have been more accommodating. The venue is magical! We enjoyed every minute from beginning to end . Louise,Stephen and all of the staff did their utmost to ensure this. The food was gorgeous. Our family and friends asked us if we knew the staff personally as they were so friendly and helpful. Excellent venue, best day or our lives.

Recently had a family function at The Conygham Arms in Slane. The hotel could not have done enough to make our celebration a night to remember. The food was top class and the staff were so attentive & pleasant. Georgina looked after us for the night and could not have done enough. The waiters & waitresses were so professional & even made a fuss of the kids, joking and making them feel welcome. I would highly recommend the hotel for a visit or for a function. I arranged everything through email with events manager Louise and nothing was a problem. Well done to all!!

I was a little hesitant to stay here because this place is really old, but my visit turned out just fine. Room was warm and large. Comfy bed. Reception people were very nice and friendly. Decor and furnishings are dated but just fine. Toiletry products have a wonderful frangrance. I had informed the hotel that I had celiac disease, but the options at breakfast were still extremely limited. The waitress (who is celiac) recommended poached eggs -- bleah. French toast was on the menu. I asked if they could make that with gluten free bread. The chef said yes, and it turned out very good. You don't have a lot of options to stay near Newgrange. This is a good one. And the price is extremely reasonable.

We got married in the Conyngham Arms at the end of December. We have a great day, the hotel and staff were supreme, helpful and really contributed to making the day perfect.
From our first visit which was unplanned! The hotel made every effort to make us feel special and valued. We visited many places but the staff and their commitment to making our day a success was the most impelling factor.
When trying to find the right venue you can sometimes feeling like you are making up the numbers. Conyngham Arms never did this. We called without making an appointment, the general manager took the time to speak with us! The Chef was unbelievable from the tasting to the meal.
If you are considering a location for your wedding this is the perfect place.
