We went here on a Monday night, so it was quiet enough.

The genius is in the simplicity of the menu. There are a small number of options, but everything we had was superb

I had the two specials, mussels to start and Hake. The mussels were lovely, but the Hake was excellent, perfectly cooked, wonderful sauce with samphire, chickpeas and broccoli, and delicious Gratin potatoes as a side

Judi had chilli prawns to start, succulent and sumptuous and the Caesar salad starter as a main. I was so impressed with the salad, it’s a simple dish, but to do it that well takes real care and attention. 10 out of 10.

To finish we shared a hazelnut brownie with caramel sauce. It was incredible.

Claire and the staff were great, they really made the night.

Food was nice, presented well and staff were friendly. Lots of outdoor seating. Myself and my boyfriend loved our starters but mains were just ok

We have really enjoyed the great meals from this restaurant since the lockdown began in March. We have had regular wonderful date-night meals from the restaurant at home and have shared the pickup with another couple, they ate in their own home! Delicious steaks, seafood pastas and roasts, wonderful vegetables. I like to think I am being very sustainable when it is all prepared and cooked centrally; we are used to catering for bigger numbers for weekend meals and it is very hard to avoid food waste with smaller numbers of people even with great planning. So no waste here, every morsel is delicious. Well done Kingfisher Team. Even the pickup is enjoyable with the wonderful decor and hand-decorated #tree with its wooden decorations! The restaurant was a joy to visit even when it was only to collect with its lovely fairy-lit indoor tree decor. Keep up the good work and we really look forward to getting back to visit in person!
