Standard hostel rooms and facilities, not much wrong with it, although the rooms are a bit smelly for some reason, seems they have a humidity problem. Wifi just didn't work in the room, had to go to the common room in order to get reception. Common room is large with a good kitchen, although if you have some money to spare it is recommend to eat in the pub, the food there is some of the best I've had during my 3 week stay in Ireland, absolutely top.
Where I found the place lacking is atmosphere. Staff in the pub seem to be just doing their jobs, aren't particularly welcoming, can't really be bothered interacting with the guests. The owner is different,he is friendly and open for a chat, but he spends most of his time in the kitchen it seems.
This is a hostel. In a hostel I expect to find staff that can tell me a few things about the region, tips to do and see, that have walking and cycling maps available etc. Unfortunately this aspect of the hostel experience is lacking here.
