“Coffee in bar overpriced”
Reviewed 1 November 2011

I work in Swords and have eaten in the carvery several times and the early bird, both of which I've found really good. But last week called in for a quick coffee.... 2 Euro 40 cent for a tiny cup of average coffee, barely two mouthfulls... total rip off, won't be back

Great Breakfast! Very nice and quiet place except for the street noise on Friday & Saturday night (get a room off the street side). Our room was huge and had a nice bathroom with tub & shower. At 99 Euro/night, it was a little more than other (Off-season) B&Bs we stayed in during our trip.

Room Tip: Try to get a room away from the streetside.

Went away for a weekend with my other half, upon entry into this hotel we were immediately greeted by a member of staff who asked us if we needed any help.

At reception we were then met with smiles from two receptionists who both seemed in high spirits even though they were working the weekend.
Checking in was as painless as possible, minimal paperwork and no questions were left unanswered.
Our bedroom was large and spotless couldn’t fault it.

We had planned to eat in the town but after looking at The Courtyard Menu we decided to give it a try. 4 course meal for €18.95, probably too good to be true…..

Fantastic is the only way to describe it. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful, clearly this is something that spreads throughout the entire building.
Our meal was excellent!!!

From the second we walked into the hotel we were taken care of, didn’t have to lift a finger and my husband was chuffed he didn’t have to get up to the bar every time he wanted a drink as there was always one of the attractive waitresses on hand in The Harp Bar.

We had a great night’s sleep and even better when we went back into the Restaurant for our breakfast. Tea Coffee Pastry, Full Irish the works and this had all included in our room price.

My husband and I both early risers are well used to the breakfast staff in hotels being rude however we had one particular waitress named Caroline who was brilliant.

We will definitely be returning as we couldn’t find one fault ! Congrats to all involved it made our stay very enjoyable.

Hotel was nice, Allocated a smoking room, no chance to change this !
Breakfast was good - Take note Breakfast does not start till 07:30. Caused an issue on the day of departure and meeting Ferry times - Really quick to ferry from here.

Don't stay here unless you are part of a wedding. Stayed here on a Wednesday night. There was a wedding and the band shook the entire hotel. Called at 12:30 am and was told the band would stop at 1am. By 2am it still had not stopped. Called again then dressed and went to sleep in my car. Told man at desk to come get me when they stopped the music. He came to get me at 2:30am. I had to be up at 4:45am. Clerk said they got many complaints. Also the lighting in room was bad. They replaced all bulbs in lamps with 25 watt and took out bulbs in overhead. Only place you could read was bathroom. Only good part was room was clean.
