Good selection of local fish dishes but very large portions. I had the local cod with beurre blanc. My husband had slow cooked beef.

We stayed at the Tara Hotel but ventured out to find a place to dine, only to find that the fishermen and locals were making their way here.
It is a bar and restaurant combination. The restaurant has a spectacular view of the harbor and you couldn’t ask for a better place to sit and eat indoors.
From the images you can see that the Turntable restaurant is separate from the hotel and colored red for distinction.
The staff was wonderful. You cannot beat this place for the view, service, food, or price. We enjoyed a calamari appetizer locally caught. Then we had Killybegs Cod, fried and grilled. Both were spectacular and arrived hot. They had great prices. We had two meals, drinks, and an appetizer for less than 75 euros. Definitely worth the stop. Great Food, service, view, reasonably priced, friendly service and locals. We had a great evening.
Enjoyed a very nice meal, waiter/waitress very attentive
Had 1/2 roast chicken which was very well cooked and presented also Chicken curry which was as above
A very nice Restaurant which obviously a lot of people like
going by the many clients that were there, would go again
While staying in Killybegs we dined each night in the Turntable. Excellent selection of freshly cooked food. We found it difficult to decide, but we were never disappointed. Staff very pleasant and helpful. No problem if you want to slightly change an item from the menu. I had a small battered fish one evening which was just the right size, a male could probably manage a regular size.
The place was packed and its a lovely room, unfortunately the food was very disappointing the aim was high but they just didn't reach it. There was more batter than prawns in my prawn tempura and my the mash was almost solid. We couldn't order wine by the glass only small bottles which was very strange. Evening was saved by a very large delicious chocolate desert which Im glad we decides to share
