Great stay with a large clean room and a separate bath and freestanding shower cubicle. The leisure centre was a great facility which opened very early which was excellent for an early start,

Review of Oriel House Hotel

I stayed at this hotel on business and found the location and facilities excellent for my requirements.
Maybe the dinner menu could be extended with some more choices, but the breakfast was excellent.
I would recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to tour West Cork and use it as a base as there is a regular bus service to Cork City just down the road and it only cost 2.20 Euro into the city which would be a great day out shopping without the hassle of bringing a car and paying for parking.

I had the most wonderful night's sleep I have had in ages,

Arrived on Friday 5/07/2024 around half 3/4 pm when arrived was told they needed a €150 payment to hold but was not said to me before arriving even though I had the room already paid for so that took me by surprise and I was not happy about this I got it back the next day but that defeats the purpose as it was not said to me and some people only bring that much money with them for a one night stay to spend
Then when got into the room the door would not lock and I said it to reception but nothing was done about this and then when going for shower the water took almost 10 minutes to heat
I have left one start because the food was nice and the lady serving me and my partner was very kind but the room and the greeting we got and the surprises was not good whatsoever
Would not recommend for an overnight stay !!!

Oriel House Hotel is a great place just outside of Cork. They had wonderful, comfy rooms, a great buffet breakfast with so many options and a nice leisure center.
