Owner description: 45 minutes from Cork city and you will be transported on an exclusive historical natural visitor experience. A charming 10-seater passenger ferry 'Yassy' and a local guide will transport you to the previously inaccessible island; up the steep grassy incline to the summit and inside the black tower and onto the lantern balcony. Only goats live on the island.. sometimes they come and say hello!

From beginning to end this was a great tour. The guides were incredibly interesting and very engaging and entertaining. Their knowledge of the history of the lighthouse was quite spectacular. The boat trip was great & the tour of the island and the lighthouse quite amazing. The younger kids on the trip really enjoyed it too. A special excursion for an afternoon.

On a recent visit to East Cork I visited this well known pub on numerous occasions .
Great drink in lovely surroundings . plenty of craft beers on offer as well as product from Jameson .The beer garden in the back is great on a long summer evening .
The food from The Field Kitchen is really good in particular the monkfish .
The owner ,Mossie is a great character and has great staff including Ricky and the lovely Claire
. This charming and unique pub is a must see when visiting this part of East Cork .
A bottle of Prosecco is a lovely way to celebrate a birthday here !

We had a brilliant time on this tour. The guides, Derry and Eddie, were very knowledgeable and entertaining. Derry was the retired local schoolmaster so could tell us all about the area and Eddie had been a lighthouse keeper and told us what life was like for him and his family. We had lots of laughs, good views and excellent value for money. Do it! Buy your ticket from Gerry at the pub at the top of the harbour and have a great day.

Lucky to have the sun shining & decided to go on the boat tour to the lighthouse. Very enjoyable & was great to see such a lovely little island. Tour very informative & were lucky enough to be guided by someone who had worked as a lighthouse keeper. Great stories to hear about. Would recommend for all to see. You & old.
