This family run pub has become very popular for food. The owners and their children are the main bar staff and always make customers feel welcome. The food is very good quality 'pub grub' and while you may have to wait 20mins for your burger or chicken kiev this indicates to me that they are freshly cooked. The fish of the day varies depending on what has been landed locally that day.
All in all dining or drinking this is a great place to go

We ate our lunch with ye yesterday. There were 5 of us including our little 2 year old boy. We all had burgers and a kiddies meal. Ye made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious. The pub is beautiful. The pool table was an easy draw for my husband and father in law...who enjoyed a few games while we waited for lunch. My son was thrilled with his freddo bar when we settled our bill. I can honestly say it was great value for money and delicious to boot. We will return again and wouldn't dream of eating anywhere else. Thanks again.

We had an excellent pub meal here with our family of four adults & 3 young children. The service was first class as was the family friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend to any families visiting Ballycotton looking for some pub food in a welcoming environment. Lovely coal fire in the corner with a pool table / dart board at the back of you wish for some additional entertainment. Loved ur visit & would definitely come back when next in Ballycotton.

Called for lunch and a Guinness, nice in the bar with a fire alight in the grate as cool and breezy outside. I had the fish goujons with lime mayonnaise and my husband had a ham and cheese omelette with a jacket potato. It was good and what we needed for lunch, and reasonably priced. It was fairly quiet but there were some customers, weather wasn’t good so not an inducement for anyone to go out.

Goes to Ballycotton for a Sunday drive and visit the schooner for something to eat no point and looking for anywhere else because the food is always excellent. Delicious seafood chowder as well as everything else on the menu you won’t be disappointed. Lovely friendly staff with a warm welcome everyone time we visit.
