Camped here twice in a winter drive of the south coast. By far the best campsite we stayed at it in our camper. Great faculties (inc communal kitchen) and flexible check-in. Even saw the northern lights!
- Free Wifi
- Free Parking
I have camped there for 3-4 days. It was green and the view was awesome. We could see icelandic horses from far away as well, pretty nice. There was also a library, icecream shop, public pool and a school nearby which made us always find something new to try and somewhere new to visit.
However the place was quite windy so we actually had to go to the school nearby and sleep there a couple of days because the temperature was okay but the wind is what made the weather seem cold. A bunch of tents broke as well. So if you are planning to camp here make sure to check how windy will it be and make sure to buy a good tent for such circumstances.
This is a nice and clean campsite. Common room, Kitchen and showers are well kept and free of use. The Campground is quite large and there was a lot of available space, not crowded at all. As the campsite is in the middel of Selfoss there is a short walk to the swimming pool and shops. Would highly recommend this campsite.
