Cedars Resort a lovely little place in the Heart of Sedona! With stunning views of Oak Creek!
Room was spacious enough for 3 adults! Comfortable stay and staff very friendly.
They allowed us to keep our car there whilst we went on a tour after we had checked out!

Stayed: September 2018, travelled with friends

My wife and I recently stayed at the Cedars Resort during a recent Northern Arizona excursion. This is a terrific property for the price.

Most everyone travels to Sedona Arizona lured by the Red Rock views. And in order to get a view of the Red Rocks from your hotel room, you're going to have to pay. The view of Carmelhead (?) and Snoopy Rock is terrific and it comes at the right price.

Located at the Junction of the 179 and 89A, you would think that the property might be noisy. Not so. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The bathrooms are efficient. And this property is within walking distance of lots of shopping (Tlaquepaque) and an excellent array of dining options.

The property also has a small fitness center and a nice pool and hot tub. The first floor rooms should have handicapable access. Call first to make sure. The staff are very friendly and very efficient.

We had a wonderful and I have no doubt that we will be staying there again!

Room Tip: Splurge on a view room. Either upstairs or down, both have terrific red rock views!

We stopped in Sedona enroute from the Grand Canyon to Scottsdale for an overnight visit. The Cedars Resort was in a very nice location. It was close to shops and restaurants and had good parking and access. The room was pretty standard, but linens were nice and it was clean. The slider opened onto a small patio area with chairs. There was also a nice swimming pool area, a walkway down to the creek. There was also a nice patio area at the other end of the property that had a wonderful view of the hills and creek. Sedona is a great place to spend a bit of time! I recommend the Cedars Resort.

Room Tip: A second floor room at the back of the property will offer the best views!

Stayed as a family of 3 in Aug 2018 for two nights. We looked at many before booking the Cedars but we chose it for the location and views (the main reason to visit Sedona). Check in was painless and there is plenty of parking (we could virtually reverse right to our door). It is right in the centre of main Sedona town on the "Y" of the 89a and the 179.

All the popular sights are in easy driving access making the Cedars a perfect base to start from.

We had a ground floor, red rock view room with twin beds. If you can, go for one of these as others face the busy 89a main road. The room was larger than we expected, clean (the maids do a great job when cleaning your room), the beds were large and comfortable, there were coffee making facilities and a balcony that take you out to a fantastic view. Probably the best view we've had from a balcony.

Bathroom is small but again clean. with the sink in the main bedroom which some have noted is strange? Didn't bother us.

There was a TV with all the stations you need should you rather watch TV than see the views of Sedona!

If I was to be critical, the AC is very noisy and if used at night, you will need ear plugs. But then this appears to be common to many rooms in Arizona. But it's a small price to pay for the location and views.

The swimming pool was very clean with towels supplied and we used it for an afternoon to relax. One of the things we wanted before booking was a view of the rocks from the pool. And boy, does this deliver.

You can take the 77 steps to Oak Creek waters edge. We did and were greeted by a couple of "campers" down there. Not sure if they should have been there but they appeared to have placed two plastic garden chairs in the creek which spoils the view somewhat. But this is a very spiritual place and there are some "free spirits" around which is to be expected.

Check out was all smiles and a pleasant experience.

Overall, or the money, I don't think you'd find much to beat it. well done Cedars and we'd love to visit you again soon.

Room Tip: Get a rock view and take ear plugs to drown out the AC unit.

Centrally located at intersection of 179 and 89a. Welcomed by a very informative and personable “Delano.” Allowed to check in early and given rooms with spectacular views. Rooms were clean and relatively basic. Nowhere to hang anything. Bathroom tiny. Hotel has no “extras.” Breakfast was embarrassingly meager. Front desk at this point handled by person with no personality. Two pots...coffee and hot water. Not impressed. Given the number of nice places in Sedona would probably not stay here again.
