The manager, Helen, is a bubbly Kiwi long removed from her home country.
She was a breath of fresh air to me when I arrived to stay for one night on a whirlwind tour of Sedona.
The room she chose for me was Southwest Memories and the view from the window was fabulous.
It's decorated with native American art yet calming for all the decoration...the bed was huge and like sleeping on a cloud.
I don't usually give into the jacuzzi, but I did this time and I'm glad I did.
For the active there are walking trails near the b&b, for those less active, there is a patio shared by some rooms where you can sit and drink watching the sun bathe the rocks red.
I was able to use the dining room to get some work done and had access to the coffee and tea facilities to help me along. I didn't get to experience breakfast as I had a booking elsewhere.
Nothing was too much and Helen made it feel like I was staying at a friend's home.
It was an all too brief stay, which I would like to rectify some time after this year of travel is over.More
