Many of the hotels were sold out and very expensive over Easter weekend. We found the Sedona Rouge as one of our more budget friendly hotels and were not disappointed. The rooms were nice and had a fridge. There is a grocery store next door, a pizza place across the street and the Coffee Pot restaurant a couple buildings down for breakfast. They had happy hour every night with a couple free drink tickets. Also a very nice rooftop terrace with fire pits to enjoy your drinks, watch the sunset or check out the stars.

The good: This hotel is well-located near a Safeway, Sedonuts (totally go there), and a killer ice cream shop. it has a nice pool, and a great rooftop deck. The restaurant staff is really nice and the food was decent. It is not close to the main part of Sedona, but this location worked for us. Parking was easy. Spa was great. You can get waters in the lobby any time and on Saturday morning they put out coffee and a continental breakfast. This is an "easy" place to stay and staff range from reasonably friendly to very helpful.
The "eh": We were traveling with our three kids and requested rooms at least sort of close together. We also noted that this was our 20th anniversary. I wasn't looking for an upgrade, but I was hoping not to be in the room say right next to the ice maker and the fountain pump. It was loud, super loud, and sort of spooky. The fountain happily gets turned off after 6, but the ice maker makes crashing noises at night and you can hear anyone getting ice. Our three kids? Different building, with the dog relief area right outside their back door. The check-in was chaotic. The kids' room wasn't ready until almost 5, and we received almost no information other than about the drink coupons. The restaurant didn't get the dinner reservation (although they ultimately fit us in). The bathrooms in both rooms were kind of run-down, and ours could have used some touch up around divots and whatnot. In short, this might not be everyone's cup of tea in high season when you are paying close to $500 a night.

Property is in need of a major cleaning and upgrade. Very poor value for the amount of money charged!
Staff was very nice and courteous, but couldn't recommend the property! The shower curtains in the spa were filthy. There were apple cores beside the ladies hot tub as well as the men's. Some of the exercise equipment didn't work. There were partially empty cups scattered around. Property needs a good scrubbing, painting and more. Terrible value for the $600 + that it cost to stay there.

Very happy with this resort. Great location. Did not get a chance to enjoy the spa services but everything else was wonderful. Nice rooms, very clean. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff! Will stay here again!

Had a girls trip with a friend recently and had never booked this hotel. The location was fantastic in West Sedona-close to everything, especially great restaurants! The hotel had a scenic rooftop to sit and watch the sunset over the Red Rocks and have a drink from the restaurant lounge. The front desk is very busy yet Walt took the time to make sure all of our needs were handled expeditiously and with a smile! Robb even cleaned our carpet while we were out for the day, and both guys bent over backwards to help make our stay even more enjoyable. We felt like family when we left! The bar was great and we enjoyed the music there. We took advantage of the SPA and had a massage and facial-what a treat! Would highly recommend -best massage I've every had. I will definitely stay at the Rouge again when I come to Sedona.

Room tip: loved the lower rooms around the pool with private porch
