We were looking for a place to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and tried here.

Reservations were easy (and recommended). We were treated by wait staff and management like very special guests. (They sprinkle a bit of confetti on the table to indicate a special event.)

The food was delicious, hot, and beautifully presented. They even included a take-home order of lasagna for the next night's dinner.

As new residents of the area, we were looking for a special place for birthdays, anniversaries, and other occasions. We have found it at Maggiano's.

Just like the Magliano's in Chicago area, this unit maintains the standard. No matter what we order here, it's like you were back at Oak Brook or Old Orchard.. Ordered two versions of shrimp and pasta - mild and spicy. Very good. The bread they serve at the table is excellent! Alejandra was our server, and did a nice job. Only complaint I had was the old fashioned. Kind of plain and uninspiring. Made with a rye, so maybe that's why.
Overall a good restaurant.

Visiting family can be a testing experience for your hosts when there are 15 or so family members, ranging in age from five years old to over 90, each with a different idea of where to celebrate your visit.
If you happen to be in Scottsdale, Arizona, then Maggiano's will offer a solution.
Essentially, it is a higher-end Italian restaurant serving what you would expect of such a place. And it does......and then some!
It is a beautifully designed restaurant and bar. Enjoy an aperitif in the bar before you dine. They serve any kind of cocktail and have a range of craft beers that would make the bar alone worth a visit. But what captures the family group is the innovative way they have constructed "family menus" . You would challenge anyone not to find at least one item from the range of main courses and appetisers on offer.
The antipasti is fantastic, the pasta and meat dishes as good as you can find in Italy and side dishes - the breaded zucchini, especially, - that entice and entrance all in one.
The clincher, however, for the family group is that they will replenish any dish that finishes.
The desserts, for children and adults alike, are exquisite and, again, replenished on request.
I can't say how relevant this maybe to the individual diner but if the family offering is anything to go by then it would definitely be worth a visit.

This was our first visit. We had made a reservation on line and it was promptly honored with the booth we requested. The hostess was most charming. It was a busy night with a lot of big parties and birthdays. Very clean, well appointed and not too noisy Our waitress Rachel was excellent. The menu was extensive and the wine list adequate but with Scottsdale prices. We ordered a bottle of Tuscan wine and shared a Sausage and Peppers appetizer. Angela, a full blooded Sicilian, declared the sausage to be the best she had eaten since her uncle, who made them, died thirty years ago. I agreed. Outstanding!,,I ordered my signature dish of Veal Piccata and she ordered the Mushroom Stuffed Ravioli. The ravioli was excellent reminding us of a favorite restaurant in Rome. The veal was not so good. A good and tender piece of veal but over cooked, cut too thick and ruined with spinach underneath. A classic case of messing with the basic recipe....The place needs work in the kitchen...
