This is the grand property situated in large acreage with a multitude of amenities. We stayed in the gold part of the resort in a suite with a sofa bed. Give us a price on this resort, I would’ve like to see a little more modern touches and better finishes. This kind of reminded me off the St. Regis in Kauai. Wonderful location but a dated property

We stayed here for 4 nights during New Years. The hotel had a lot great activities for the family. There was an ice skating rink, s’mores, fireworks, Ferris wheel, tubing, water slides, great restaurants and amazing service.
There’s a Starbucks on property. They have a great steakhouse, Bourbon, with the best sea bass and boo Choi ever. The Apple sweater was fabulous too.

Hacienda restaurant is in the middle of everything and also had great food. The guacamole was amazing as was cheese fondue (it’s not called that)
The squash quesadillas are amazing and flavorful. The food is not too oily or salty like other Mexican restaurants.
Ask for the habanero sauce. It’s delicious but very spicy. Consider yourself warned.

Toro was also great. They had a shuttle that came around every 10 min. The views were great and the food was good too. Tia and Hunter were amazing and accommodating.

The breakfast at Ironwood is also top notch. Their Sunday brunch ends at 11 so get there early so you don’t miss it.

I was very disappointed with the unkept quality of hotel. There was always trash sitting outside the hotel rooms and in the hallways. The walls were cracked and worn and the paint was chipped. However, the beautiful restaurants, resort amenities and amazing service made up for it.

Dear sarajacobs81,

Thank you for staying with us, and for taking the time to leave such a detailed review of our property. We're glad to hear you enjoyed all of our diverse dining experiences, from great steaks and seafood at Bourbon Steak, to some of the best sushi in town at Toro Latin Restaurant & Rum Bar, you guys had a great dine around. We're also glad to hear you enjoyed all the activities at Winter at the Princess.

We're disappointed to hear about the issues you noted with regard to upkeep at the hotel. With a property as large as ours, 750 rooms and 65 acres, maintenance issues will certainly arise and we do our best to address them promptly so that our guests have a beautiful resort to enjoy.

Thank you again for staying and dining with us, it truly sounds like your family had a wonderful time and we hope to welcome you back again soon.

We visited the Fairmont in August 2020 for my birthday and took advantage of their offers. We stayed in a king bedroom casita which was really nice. Enough space for three kids and two adults. The resort is spectacular. I think there are 5 pools and lots of restaurants. We spent two nights and were really impressed.
They have Covid guidelines in place if you’re worried. However I appreciate how they don’t constantly hound you about the guidelines either.
We loved our first trip so much we came back for the Christmas festivities. Seriously magical for kids of all ages. The details are on point. Yes it’s not cheap, because you can see all the money spent on all of the things. There are lights and decor EVERYWHERE. Truly well done and it helped ease the pain of not having Disneyland open this year.

Our return visit to the Princess was fantastic. Like many others we attended the annual Christmas display. The Fairmont executed a flawless performance all the way around. The resort is fairly expensive as is, without the extras. $40 for a photo with Santa, $35 to ice-skate for an hour, etc. I can absolutely understand these fees for non-guests, but for guests, there should be some sort of generous discount. We did have a lot of fun and the rides are included for guests which is the trade-off. Parking was a nightmare, so be prepared to walk long distances with your luggage. Room was nicely appointed and spacious with a nice balcony overlooking the Christmas lights.
Overall this place is awesome and with plenty of room to wander and enjoy with crowds or without. Little firepits are dotted all around the resort, so it's not difficult to procure a snack and enjoy the scene while cozy by the fireplace.

Paid for a one night stay on Christmas Eve to enjoy all the Christmas festivities at the Princess. What a fantastic property! It was amazing how expansive the place was. Our bellman Terry was excellent and gave a nice short tour of the campus on our way up to dropping baggage off to our room. This was our first time visiting, but won’t be our last!
