On the way to the Grand Canyon from Phoenix we were looking for a place to stay that wasn't in Sedona (way too expensive). By googling around, my daughter found this little hotel not far off the interstate and called. They had one room open (they said because of a cancellation) and we took it because it was getting late. It is a small, older privately owned hotel, There is no elevator and our room was on the second floor, but it turned out to be clean, charming, and very comfortable. This room was a suite with a kitchenette that included a sink, microwave, small refrigerator, and full accessories -- dishes, flatware and glasses. Their cable and WiFi was out, but there was a DVD player hooked up to the flatscreen TV and dozens of DVDs in the kitchen area to borrow. We had our own and watched a couple of them before going to bed. We didn't try the breakfast the next morning because we had to get on the road fairly early, but we had a good stay here otherwise.
