Only 1 night here while on a road trip-an older but well kept clean, quiet place with much charm and staffed by warm and friendly employees. We paid very little and felt safe here all night long. Would recommend as long as you like a firm mattress like I do. Would return in the future without a doubt. The honor system snack bar gets a big thumbs up as well.

On the way to the Grand Canyon from Phoenix we were looking for a place to stay that wasn't in Sedona (way too expensive). By googling around, my daughter found this little hotel not far off the interstate and called. They had one room open (they said because of a cancellation) and we took it because it was getting late. It is a small, older privately owned hotel, There is no elevator and our room was on the second floor, but it turned out to be clean, charming, and very comfortable. This room was a suite with a kitchenette that included a sink, microwave, small refrigerator, and full accessories -- dishes, flatware and glasses. Their cable and WiFi was out, but there was a DVD player hooked up to the flatscreen TV and dozens of DVDs in the kitchen area to borrow. We had our own and watched a couple of them before going to bed. We didn't try the breakfast the next morning because we had to get on the road fairly early, but we had a good stay here otherwise.

We had a terrible experience at this place. The room smelled really bad and old. TV did not work. There was no internet connection. The carpet had spots that looked like poop spots and the towels smelled. I wouldn’t recommend it at all.
Location is far from anything and anywhere.
They even put fresheners around the room to mask the smell but smell was stronger. There was a microwave/oven in the room full of dust on top where you could write your name on it. The lady at the front desk was rude and was acting like I was lying or imagining the smell and else. I disputed the chargers with my bank, we left the first day. Didn’t complete out stay and moved to a different hotel.

We’re sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay at the Beaver Creek Inn. Our location is clearly listed on all our booking engines, even giving exact drive times to downtown Sedona and other Verde Valley attractions. It is the guest's responsibility to research the location of their chosen hotel when making a reservation.

Arizona is a state that gets very hot and very cold depending on the time of day and year, and to maintain temperature controls it’s necessary to keep the doors and windows shut as much as possible. However, shut rooms get stuffy even with constant use, and the air fresheners combat that. It is possible the smell that you are referencing are our chlorine-based cleaners, which we use to treat every room between guests. When investigating your carpet we found two roughly quarter-sized stains that looked to be nothing more than spilled coffee.

Since your visit we have updated our WIFI network to a stronger and more reliable connection. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip.

Regards,
Beaver Creek Inn Staff

The Inn is in a great, quiet location and the staff are efficient and welcoming. Our room was older but spacious, the bed was very comfortable, everything was functional and very clean. Breakfast was self serve and adequate.
