my girlfriend and I had some business in prescott over the holidays and needed a place for a 3 day stay.what can I say, the room was clean, the common areas were pleasant and the room rate was fair.it's not a high end hotel but again it never advertised itself as one.the amenities were acceptable;it had free parking(both outside and under roof--take your pick);there was a free local paper each morning in the common area and they had a complementary breakfast each morning(toast, cereal mini muffins, etc.) nothing earth shattering but acceptable.
all-in-all a pleasant no hassle hotel. WE LIKED IT.

Room Tip: if you can;go during the week. very quiet

Just back from a long weekend in Prescott and a lovely stay at the Forest Villas. We also stayed with a Groupon, and will certainly be coming back. We arrived around 6-ish and the man at the desk was really nice and very helpful. The Acker Music night was going off downtown and we asked where would be best to park. Also we asked if the Thai House was still in business and a few other questions. When we asked if there was a microwave in our room, we were told no, but could use the one in the lounge at any hour, just to let him know and he'd put the light on for us. The piano serenade during breakfast sunday morning was so nice... she' played very well and the choices of christmas songs were great. The rooms are average, fridge was big and clean. Bathroom was clean also. The little patio was a very nice touch too. The railing was high enough that I didn't worry about our 8yr old getting into trouble sitting out there on her own. There was also lower level parking, as well as ground floor parking, which was a nice touch. Our room was right near the front desk and the balcony sort of faced east toward the highway, but the road noise was minimal. There was a perfect view of the moon rising! Beds were in good shape, only noticed one small tear in the fitted sheet. There is a Trader Joe's being built right across the street in 2012. Very helpful for these traveling vegetarians.

Used a group on for this hotle. We received 2 nights for the price of one. The room was a standard king so maybe the other rooms were nicer. The location is right off a main road and easily acessible. The hotel is obviously older, but well maintained and clean. The lobby was rather pretty and I was expecting the room to be of the same caliber and was a bit disappointed. The rooms furnishings and finishings in the standard room were just that, standard. The coffee pot in the room was really teeny and they gave us 1 package of regular coffee and only one package with sugar etc...The continental breakfast was microwave cooked scrambled eggs and sausage, both mornings. Lots of bready options to choose, bagels, waffles, etc.... I was a bit bothered by the fact that breakfast was supposed to be till 10am and both mornings they closed it up about 9:30am removing the coffee too. I would stay here again because I did feel it was a good value for what we paid.

This hotel is flanked with shopping centers, convenient stores and chain restaurants and 5 miles from the historic square of downtown Prescott. Situated on a hill, you'll enter into the lobby with 2 towering chandaliers and huge staircase and one can imagine that it was first class during it's time. The room was clean and well maintained. It was equipped with a coffee maker, a small fridge, free wi-fi and many rooms have a balcony which was a welcomed feature. Staff was accomodating and friendly. Breakfast on the other hand was lacking, powdered eggs with sausage links, an assortment of breads, packaged waffles, a fruit, coffee, juice and cereal.

In October we stayed two nights at this hotel we found out about through Groupon.com. We got a two night package price ($87 for two people for two nights!!). Not knowing what the hotel would be like I was holding my breath. Beautiful place. Slightly older then the new ones in town, very well maintained and unigue. Breakfast in the morning. The entry/lobby was gorgeous, rooms nice with beautiful balconies with seating. It was a perfect alternative to staying closer to the Grand Canyon and paying the higher hotel prices near the Canyon. We spent one day and drove 126 miles one way to the Grand Canyon and returned with plenty of time to see what we wanted to and have a nice meal at .Bright Angel Lodge area at the Canyon. On the way to Prescott the first day (coming from Tucson, AZ), we drove through Jerome, AZ....that is a must drive scenic route.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony, but I think all rooms had a beautiful balcony with a nice view.
