This hotel is nice and the staff are all very nice. However, it is no nicer of a hotel than what I could get for half the price. Everything in the hotel is over priced and the restaurants around the hotel are expensive as well.

Hotel is nice with views on the upper floors. The Hyatt provides all of the amenities for the business traveler and also provides an extensive list of amenities if you forget anything. The breakfast buffet on the 2nd floor is also great for ~$20, where you can request your eggs made to order. Overall, the service has been great. Hotel is across the street from the convention center & near the sporting arenas. The few cons is that it's an older hotel and the sheets were too crisp.

Room tip: Choose a room on the east side to get view and to avoid west sun = hotter room

I had one night to spend in Phoenix before heading off to Sedona and just needed a place to sleep. I didn't really care where I stayed as long as it was close to the airport and fairly central, so I used hotwire and ended up here. No complaints. Nice big room, comfortable bed, nice staff, room service (actually I bothered to walk down to the restaurant and ordered my food to go, which probably saved me about 30%) was decent. It's a Hyatt - no character whatsoever, but very comfortable. And the location is very convenient to both the airport and restaurants downtown. If I were staying in Phoenix for an extended period of time, I would stay at a resort in Scottsdale, but for one night, this got the job done.

I was here for a business trip. The hotel is laid out with the room in a circle around a central atrium. It can be hard to see where you pick up the elevators (you can see the shafts, but not the doors).

My room was clean, with a good firm mattress, and the shower pressure and temperature were both good. The wireless internet worked well (using the standard, not the "premium" version). The TV worked well, and the cooling system worked well.

There is a nice fitness center, with about 4 stationary bikes, 7 elliptical machines, and about 6 treadmills. It also had about 4-5 machines, as well as free weights. There was enough equipment to get a good workout. It is next to the pool area on the 3rd floor. The pool was small, but very nice.

The staff was friendly. Overall, a good hotel.
