Two things to note. First, I'm an ex-New Yorker and second, Fez is very noisy (although it's an overall noise and you really can't hear the conversations at other tables). OK, to the New York part. Ordered the lox & bagel to share with wife. It is served correctly (lox, bagel, cream cheese, capers & onion). The obvious issue is that (regardless of how hard various restaurants in the Phoenix metro area try), bagels should have a crust and not be soft. Another issue is if you are going to serve lox & cream cheese, don't butter the bagel (if I had known I would have asked to omit the butter). As for taste, it was good. Also ordered the hotcakes. They(2) were large (about 9-10" in diameter) and we decided on the strawberry/blueberry combo. the issue here is that although the hotcakes were good and the strawberries on top & within the batter were fresh, the blueberries were either dehydrated or freeze dried and coated with a sweetener (they were also inedible). It's summer. Blueberries are plentiful. We asked our server about the blueberries and he asked the chef. We were advised that "that's the way we do it". We were also told that these same berries were used in one of their drinks.
