“Fabulous array of instruments from around the world!”
Reviewed 1 March 2012

Who knew this place was here? For $15 you are given an audio device that plays clips matching the video at all the different exhibits. No forwarding or numbers to remember as it happens as you walk through the exhibits. You can read about the music and the culture while listening to the sound bites of music from that country or region. It's fabulous if you have an interest in music and instruments from around the world.

“Music to my ears”

Awesome, unique museum. Plan lots of time as this is a big museum. The concert space is incredible, so if you can, go to a concert.

“Loved it--had to leave because I was hungry and my feet hurt, but didn't see everything!”
Reviewed 1 March 2012

I went right home and sent an email to everyone I know who likes music, or is a musician, (which is a lot of people!) and told them to visit it.. I will go back again next time I am in Phoenix.

“It's not just for the exhibits ....”
Reviewed 1 March 2012

This is a really interesting museum that we've been to before. But this time we went to a jazz concert in their hall and it was terrific! The seating and acoustics are really great, and the price was very reasonable.

“Musical instruments from around the world”
Reviewed 28 February 2012

Excellent displays and information about musical instruments from around the world. Displays are arranged by location and most have an audio visual presentation of the music from each country. Wonderful display on how a piano is made and several historic ones on location.
It takes 3-4 hours to move through the exhibit halls. Cafeteria has a nice variety of food choices and even some gluten free options.
