“Needs Work on Basics”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 March 2011

Booked a three night stay @ $179 night before taxes. First room: mold on the bathroom ceiling and badly stained desk chair. Second room: better, same issue with desk chair--manager theorized that the cleaning spray they use causes the stains (?), but gave me a somewhat better-looking but still-stained chair that he wiped down himself. Cigarette burn on the quilt. Common areas: back entry from parking lot badly in need of cleaning, carpet in the lone elevator for the building is gross. Wireless Internet is fast when up, but cuts out briefly 4-5 times every hour. Didn't eat breakfast, use the fitness center or tiny pool, so can't comment on those. Staff was helpful and courteous about things they could fix. Room was quiet, bed comfortable, HVAC worked well, but rooms are pretty basic. I'm not normally a picky traveler, and I don't expect the Ritz when paying for Holiday Inn Express. But for $200/night with taxes, they need to do way better.

Stayed here only because it cost 5,000 points and the location was roughly where I wanted to be.
Managed to get a 2 room suite which was very spacious, not the best I have come across, but I definitely will stay here again if the price is right.
Wife thought that the breakfast was one of the best she has had.
Cracker barrel restaurant right next door, they also do room service.
I know it’s very, very minor, but on their home web page in the first sentence they say that a plate of fresh baked cookies are waiting to greet you – none were spotted throughout the course of my stay.

Travel with kitty to enjoy Thanksgiving with retired parents. This hotel treated us so well. Upon arrival the the woman at the front desk was so kind and accomodating it was a feeling like you knew this was going to be a good experience. We accually stayed an additional night and everything was nice. The location is central to everything and the staff very helpful. I would stay again for sure.

Spent two nights too many at the hotel. First night was terrible because the AC quit working. We were assigned another room after several requests, but the roof started leaking at around 4AM. I had to call the front desk twice to get another room. Almost one hour later, we had to move our wet luggage by ourselves. No one offered to help or even bring the key up. We received no apology or even acknowledgement from the management. Sent our concerns to the Holiday Inn customer service, but received no response. The place is falling apart and no one seems to care! We had much better experience at the Scottsdale Homewood Suites (see my other review).

I travel wth my husband for his work almost every week.. this week it's Peoria AZ. We usually stay in holiday inn express. This one is nice. We do have one of the two room king suites, so the room is very nice and lots of space. Breakfast was about the same as all of the HIexpress. There is not a lot right around the hotel, but about a mile away there are a lot of nice restaurants for dinner. We didn't check out the pool because it is raining, but it does look nice.
