We stayed at the Cherry Valley Bed and Breakfast recently, in the twin beds bedroom on the North side of this beautifully designed ranch house in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright, to accommodate the climate and the views from its 4,500 foot hill top location, in Oracle, AZ at the North end of the Santa Catalina Mountains. The ranch house is spacious and comfortable. It's owner/host Susan was very friendly and attentive to our needs. The view to the North from the breakfast table is punctuated by various desert wildlife, including birds and mammals, providing unexpected entertainment. The twin beds bedroom is well furnished, and spacious complete with wi fi internet. The living and library areas of the house are nicely designed, furnished and comfortable. We recommend this B&B for your relaxing and comfortable stay in this desert island area of AZ.

My stay at the Cherry Valley Ranch B & B could not have been any better. The hostess is gracious and warm, the house is lovely, my room was extremely comfortable and the food was delicious - which would all be enough to give this place five stars. But when you add in the breath taking views and the convenience to everything in the area, you take this place above and beyond. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

We are recent empty nesters and so even though we've lived in PHX for 9 years, we are just now doing what we can to explore AZ. At the last minute we booked with Susan and are so happy we did! She has a large, lovely property with the main house and a few ranch houses built in the 1930's. She's lived in the area since the 1950's and knows her way around. She definitely provided a very hospitable space! We loved that it was directly across from the lovely Oracle State Park. We hiked and then went to see Biosphere 2 (where our guide happened to be a friend of Susan's!). There's not much else to do in/around Oracle, but you are close to Tucson if you want some excitement, but my advice would be just to enjoy the peace and quiet of lovely Cherry Valley Ranch.

We really enjoyed our stay. The casitas are rustic and Susan allows the casita renters to walk to the main house where you can lounge, check WiFi, look at menagerie of wild birds, etc. The breakfast is to die for. Susan is a very friendly owner and will bend over backwards to make your stay enjoyable. Be sure to sit out on the patio as the sun goes down for the unbelievable sunset view.

A friend and I stayed at Cherry Valley Ranch for two nights in early October, 2014. Susan, our host, was totally welcoming and gracious. We stayed in the ranch house which is beautifully furbished. The place is immaculate. Susan gave us a tour of the three casitas each of which has a a different theme. She offers a large delicious breakfast each day. The dining area opens to fantastic views. All in all, a delightful and memorable experience.

Susan grew up in the home and knows the lay of the land and the history of the area. She's a great conversationalist. We toured while in Oracle,. We visited the Thomas Boyce Arboretum in Superior, hiked in Catalina State Park, ate at a church fiesta and went on two tours of Biosphere 2. On Saturday morning we took the usual tour and, in the afternoon, we took the history tour; I recommend both since Biosphere 2 is totally offbeat and intriguing.

I'm also recommending the magical Glow Festival at Triangle L Ranch. This year the Glow Festival was held the first two Saturday nights in September and October.
