We have been watching the resurrection of CHS for years and last week finally made time to visit for a 3 day weekend. All I can say is just incredible. The time spent rebuilding the resort to it's original glory shows in every detail. The grounds are just beautiful, the food (a lot of which is farmed on site) is wonderful and every staff member we met was super friendly and helpful. We stayed in a star view cabin which was so nice! I could go on and on and on but do want to mention a few highlights and staff that we worked with.
We did a 1 hour horseride with Josh. He is a super cool guy that knows his stuff and will show you some of the most beautiful parts of the desert.
We had couples massages out in the covered bungalos with Christie and Carol. Both of these ladies gave awesome treatments and being semi outside (but still private) with the breeze blowing and spring water stream running right beside us was so nice.
In the dining room Thomas (the somm and food guru) was great fun to talk wine and food with and shared some of his favorites with us. Great guy!
We took the farm tour with Ian and he showed us many of the crops they grow and how they do it. Also a worthy tour to do!
Nicholas and Natalie waited on us at nearly every meal. They were excellent servers, always a happy smile and would go out of their way to make everything perfect!
Patrick, Tommy, Rose and Russell upstairs at the front desk and bar were equally friendly, outgoing and happy to help and talk about the amazing resort.
All I can say is if you have thought about visiting this incredible piece of American and Arizona history don't hesitate! Sitting in the same hot springs under the starry Arizona sky that presidents, dignitaries and captains of industry once occupied is something hard to describe! We already booked our return for the end of March!

Room tip: No cell service and optional (free) wifi. Enjoy the beauty by being disconnected!

I had a great overnight stay this week( way to short). I thoroughly enjoy every aspect especially the farm tour with Ian and David and the massage given by Christie. I hopefully will be back soon to experience this beauty.

This place knocks it out of the park on all counts. The people were wonderful and the service was exceptional! The hot springs were great and the dining should be Michelin rated. We spent Valentines Weekend here and it could not have been better.

Don't be fooled by the "historic" references, this place is 100% new, built in a "historic style" as tribute to its history, but it is modern luxury from top to bottom. We stayed in the skyview cabins, which are individual guest rooms with no common walls and space all around, and the size of a small house! The hot springs themselves are amazing, and set away from the main resort buildings in a very quiet and private canyon. The inclusive meals are very, very good, comparable to the best restaurants we've eaten at the finest resorts anywhere in the world. We did a few hikes around the resort, which we enjoyed very much for the solitude and wonderful views of the surrounding desert. This resort is on my very short list of places I've been to that I would recommend over and over again to anyone as one the best places I've ever had the good fortune to find. Its (really) a short drive out of Phoenix, about 30 mins on pavement and 30 minutes on the dirt road. In the dry season the dirt road is easily passable with a small SUV or standard car. Just keep the speed down to about 20 mph and watch out for wild burros! Once you are at the resort, they will park your car for you and you won't have any need for it or even think about it again until you leave. Its that kind of place.

Room tip: The skyview cabins are set off on their own with no shared walls to other rooms
