Staid here one night. The staff was very friendly the room were okay there were oddly set up but good, big lockers for you to set your stuff in. The bathrooms are dorm style and are not located close to the room at all. Free breakfast and it's simple one. WiFi works well in the reception area in the room it tends to get really weak and almost unusable. They have a computer available for you to use 24/7.

After reading the reviews online I came with high expectations to Ushuaia, thinking that this would be even better than my amazing experience in I Keu Ken in el Calafate. However, I was consistently proven wrong over my three day stay. Firstly, I made the reservation with the understanding that I could pay with credit card as I was short on cash. The staff was generally short shrift in their emails in helping me plan the trip, and never once mentioned that their credit card machine was broken until I checked in. Then I was shown to my room, which I discovered was not only on a separate floor from the bathrooms, but moreover was only accessible by an open air breezeway, which meant I had to go out into subfreezing temperatures after showering to get to my bed, which, by the way, was generally terrible. It felt like a prison bunk, the sheets seemed hardly washed and the second day they didn't even make the bed. The staff were generally curt and impersonal, and the services they recommend are the priciest in town, almost confident they get a cutback. The only silver lining was the amazing company I had in the hostel, made some good friends and for that I am thankful. However, that being said I would NOT recommend this hostel, at least in the winter, or anytime you don't feel like having to go outside to use the restroom in the middle of the night.

I spent 6 days at Antarctica Hostel while visiting Ushuaia. Gabriel, the manager, is incredibly helpful and will point you in the right direction to make the most of your visit. Garrett, the mid shift employee, is very friendly and truly epitomizes the meaning of customer service. The rooms were spacious and clean and the beer and wine they sell are the best value in town. I would absolutely stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

This hostel is just perfect! Great receptionists ready to help you during your stay. They are super friendly and provide you lot of tips to make your stay in Ushuaia just perfect. Very confortable rooms and nice breakfast included. Súper clean bathrooms are downstairs however it wasn't a problem. The main street, with restaurants and supermarket are really close.
