Walk in the glacier is one of the best experience we ever had in our lives. A bus picked you up at the hotel an taje you to the National Park (one our drive). Then a boat take you to a glacier where you walk for around 2 hours. They allow several stop so you can take photos. The place is simple amazing. You must be over 10 years old to do this. After the hike you eat lunch (bring something to eat) and then they take you to another place where you can see the Perito Moreno and take more photos. Lot of people talk about the price in pesos. I went over there in July and $1 was equal 28 pesos, two months before $1 was 16 pesos. The tour will cost you around $100 no matter what happen with the Argentinean pesos. It;s worth it!

We hired the Perito Moreno trekking directly from Hielo y Aventura. I will suggest everybody to do this directly with them as the price difference between any internet provider and them is insane. The price of the excursion is $3300 pesos winch will be paid to Hielo y Aventura. This fee will include the transportation from your Hotel to the Glacier and back to town, two short boat rides and the guided tour. There is an additional entry fee of $600 pesos to the National Park which has to be paid in cash to the park rangers in pesos (please bring the cash so you don't slow down your group). Also, be aware that you will need to bring your own food, since the national park doesn't have any amenities where you can get this.

Our adventure started early in the morning, we were picked up from our hotel at 7:30am and from there we got transported to a meeting point where we changed shuttles. Once in the big bus, there's a 70km+ drive towards the glacier. There is a stop for restrooms and from there the bus will drive to "Puerto Bajos las Sombras" where you will take a boat ride towards the glacier on the Brazo Rico.

Once you get to the glacier, the tour guides will split the group by language and provides instructions on what to expect. There are refugees to leave your belongings if you choose to do so (food and any unnecessary items). Gloves are mandatory.

You will start walking towards the glacier and hear the story about how it was from, there are some informative banners about it. Next is time to walk into a service station and get the crampons fitted on your shoes. Then it's time to walk the glacier.

The pace of the walk is rather fast and you have to do your best to stay with the group. You will have a guide in the front and another on the sides/back helping anyone with issues. The group will walk in one line to several interesting spots in the glacier. You will go up and down for about 1.5h until you reach a plain area where the Hielo y Aventura crew will provide with a chocolate bonbon and some scotch. That marks the end of the trekking.

From there go back to the refuge to have lunch, you will find a nice fire there although is still rather chilly. Make sure you use the break to take pictures since you will depart from there back to the port with a boat.

Then the bus will drive towards the other face of the glacier and you will have the ability of observing and photographing the glacier on it's most amazing view for a total of one hour.

The tour is very well organized and an experience for a lifetime. The only suggestion would be increasing the amount of time while trekking and also observing from the decks, since it felt rather rushed at times.

We did a half day tour and it was a dream come true ! Walking on Perito Moreno is a completely different experience than contemplating it. The tour itself is very informative and the guides simply wonderful and very skilled. Quite easy trek even for elderly people (my parents loved it). You simply feel you are in a completely different planet. I can't recommend it enough!

Totally recommend the tour
3300 Argentinian pesos plus 600 for entrance at the National Park.
Our guide Guadalupe was very prepared and friendly she knew how to answer all our questions and went above and beyond ask no our driver to give us some extra time to take pictures of the native animals such as Fox, hawk and other amazing views during the drive to the park.
Our driver also deserves a shout out OSCAR thanks!!!

I went on the mini-trek on Perito Moreno glacier - and what an extraordinary and fantastic experience! The views of the glacier from the different platforms give a sense of how big this glacier really is. The ice-trekking on the glacier with formidable guides offers you a spectacular scenery and teaches you a lot about the glaciar.
I can only give the best recommendations for this trip and the company!
