We stayed here for 3 nights while traveling around Bariloche and the 7 lakes. Very clean, quiet and maintained. Attentive stuff and very helpful. skip dinner at the hotel and take a taxi to Don Alberto in town.

Room Tip: upper building 3rd floor

Location pretty much requires a car. The majority of the front desk staff were not super friendly during our stay; it could have been the language barrier, but I sensed other problems afoot. Breakfast buffet felt like a factory, crowded and chaotic. On the plus side, the suite was almost the size of an apartment - large and comfortable, with lots of storage, and the in-room hot tub afforded a great, Instagram-worthy view of the lake, but that didn't make up for the overall cold, unwelcoming feel of this property (which actually seems more like a set of condos than a hotel). I got the sense that it might be intended more for South American families on their annual ski vacations than for global travelers trying to experience Bariloche for the first time. Final verdict: whether or not you enjoy this place really depends on what you are looking for with your stay.

Room Tip: Need a high floor to have a lake view

This hotel suffered from being a little too far from central, requiring a walk along an unmade roadside path or a taxi to town as there is no shuttle service. Because of this we had to use the restaurant which had a nice layout and ambience but disappointing food. Breakfast was also not the greatest. Noisy accommodation if you were unlucky with adjoining noisy guests as timber floors and stairs. No extras like tissues in the room and robes.

With this hotel you are paying for the view. Unfortunately you will only get this in around 10% of the rooms. Without it just another overpriced hotel with small rooms and paper thin walls. The site is so large and steep you need to be moved around in a mini bus. If you have difficulty walking this hotel is not for you.

Dear guest,

We regret our Hotel has not met your expectations.
The standard room, that you chose, sizes 45 m2, one of the largest rooms in the business and those rooms has not direct lake view. Anyway we have got other categories, that do have a magnificent view of the Nahuel Huapi .

All the guests that stays in our hotel, are invited to use our internal shuttle, if they want it.

We are sorry to read your comment, even so, we hope to have the chance to stay you in again.

Best regards,

Design Suites Bariloche

If you get the right rooms you can have very nice views of the lake! The hotel consists of approximately 3-4 four story buildings plus the building lobby, restaurant and gym/pool/spa facilities. The hotel had a nice tango show with dinner the first night of our visit. The tango couple danced with most everyone at dinner towards the end of their performance – a very nice touch!

The room we had on the 1st floor of building 4 was nice and contemporary in its layout and furniture. It had a nice jacuzzi tub separate from the bathroom with views of the lake. However the walls and floors are paper thin!!! We could here the conversations next door and the kids running in the room above us every night! The worst was when the jacuzzi started up at 11pm in the room above us, sounded like an industrial washing machine in our room!

The highlight of our visit was Ricardo (a waiter in the restaurant) who was exceptional!!! He was attentive, friendly and great with recommendations!
