The structure is big and potentially charming due to its position in the middle of the forest. However, it is dispersive, cold, dark and damp. It seems it has been left to itself. The lobby people does not speak English nor any other language than spanish and seems always disttacted and annoyed. The breakfast is scarce and not so varied. The personnel at the restaurant is very unkind.
The rooms are big (even too big) but absolutely empty, devoid of furniture and comforts. The bathroom lacks towels and the personnel did not change our towels from a day to the other so we had to use the same twice in a row for two persons.
All in all this place lacks any charm and is unhospital as it makes you feel uneasy.
Avoid at all costs.

I hate to write a very negative review but this place was so disapponting. We are quite adaptable travelers and can switch from very simple guesthouses to fancy hotels according to place and circumstance. We arrived in Iguazù at the end of 5 fantastic weeks of traveling through Argentina. After many days on the road, we looked forward to ending the holiday with a stay in a small and exclusive place tucked in the jungle. We read great reviews about this place, some mentioning its being small and truly immersed in nature... and we trusted them. Well, we should have paid more attention to the name of the place ("village"): this is more indicative of its nature. This is a big resort with almost a hundreds rooms in concrete blocks; you feel more like you are in a big council estate than in the middle of the jungle. Breakfast is served in a room the size of a hangar and at 7am it's as noisy as the departure hall of an airport. The swimming pool is big, sure, but your only hope to find empty deckchairs is to come around midnight (when it's closed). There is a restaurant with food of below-average quality.
Sorry if it all sounds so negative - 90% of the places we stayed in Argentina were amazing.

It's in a wonderful setting. The rooms are big, beds great and balconies are right in the jungle. The food is good and reasonably priced considering you're isolated and can't really eat anywhere else. The pool is good too.
That's where the positives end. The disappointments are the service and the transport.
Service: Quite quick to get to you, but once you've been served it's impossible to get another drink or anything else. We waited for the bill for more than an hour. Sitting, waiting, sitting, waiting. Seems after you've been served you can't raise their attention. The service is not good enough. Wait staff should be wandering around asking if you'd like something else, another drink, desert maybe etc. It's a bit like this all over Argentina actually so that might be standard.... Not good business sense though.
Transport: Expensive and disorganised. One takes you, agrees to meet you at a certain time, then doesn't show. It's someone else and they don't know who you are either. Ask for a 1km detour to pick up toiletries - no problem. Then when you arrive back they then tell you it is an extra 80, not before. Then tell you the tip is not included... This is what happens when you're isolated.
So, this could easily be a 5 star review if they fixed their service. Setting gets it to 4 stars, service is 3 stars.

The hotel is interesting as it is located inside the jungle. The buildings are united by wooden paths that make you walk through the forest to go from one place to the other. Room was nice and big enough for the four of us. A little disappointed with breakfast (simple, not many options, missing more fresh fruit).

We really enjoyed this hotel, it's in the middle of the woods which is great if you want to relax with the family. The breakfast was great. The only bad thing about it is the bathrooms we can see inside thru the windows the windows are not dark enough. The hotel should fix this because it takes the privacy from the guests. Besides this everything else was great.
