We stayed here 2 nights on our visit to Igazu Falls. The reception /dinning room was built of wood that is available around. The rooms were built as wooden lodges scattered in the jungle. The path between the lodges etc are well laid out Beds were comfortable and clean..Kettles were provided which was an additional bonus.Breakfast was good.We didnt see any mosquitos even though we were surrounded by jungle but need bug spray out on the verandah.
The hotel was away from the town but we were met by our guide so we didnt miss the shops etc

I would definitely choose it again. I was great to be in the middle of the jungle. Personnel was very helpful and friendly. Both breakfast and dinner were very good. I would have enjoyed more the pool would it have been warmer, but it was still very nice.

We stayed in this lodge for 3 nights. It was quiet pleasant stay. Rooms are situated in a wooden houses in the middle of the forest. Each room has a balcony with a hammock. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Staff is very friendly. There is a restaurant at the lobby and the food there is very tasty.

It is very easy to get to Iguazu waterfalls from there as there is a public bus from the main road. Main road is less then 10 minutes walk.

If you go to Iguazu Falls and you need a hotel nearby don't start looking any further, because this is the best place to stay. In a jungle atmosphere you come to rest in one of the great cabanas. Also the swimming pool is relaxing. The food is awesome served by friendly staff. Definitely a place to remember!

Our 3 nts stay began poorly. Check-in person neglected to tell us about HEAT function on what was a "split" unit.We plugged in the small wall heating units not knowing we could get comfort. We slept in 8 degree C cold and it was miserable. Our room was Jr Suite and very large; we slept in a very small space to conserve temperature. Bed is otherwise VERY comfortable. Once Miguel showed us how to fix the problem, things got better. Well, sort of...We paid the extra price for the large room w/balcony jacuzzi, only to find no hot water for it. We had problems w/hot showers, likely due to power outages, which seem to be common. I had 1 warm shower and 1 hot one in 3 nts.
The management offered a partial refund, which required some additional communication after departing, but they came thru as initially promised.
We ate dinner one night--it was quite decent. Creative appetizer, even though we didn't know it was liver pate (we like that), it was tasty. Wine prices were fair and they offered a good variety of types and prices. Staff was always responsive w/recommendations, too. Sadly, the temps did not allow use of the pool but we walked around @the property and it is tranquil and well-tended.
WIfi was good when there was no outage (frequent during our stay).
The pre-arranged transport was an issue. We didn't expect to wait for an hour for so many others to board a bus. The we were taken to multiple hotels before arriving @ La Aldea. It took 2 hours for us to reach our room after leaving the flight w/our carry-on. Never again. We'd gladly pay for a taxi instead of wasting so much of our short time at this lodge.
If I get to return to Iguazu with my sister and niece, I would likely stay here again.
Thanks to the staff who attempted to fix issues they should not have had to address. Management needs to correct the power situation, for the sake of their guests.
