Only had a short impression of the place but found it nice, with friendly staff.
Lovely tango studio in the back (though hot in the summer..), place more suitable for a bit longer stays in my opinion (since than you can only benefit from the tango studio). Location bit too far out for me.

Good breakfast and great that you can take it up to noon so you dont have to get up early after a late night out!

Room Tip: For light sleepers try to get a room not facing the street as these get a bit loud.

Amazingly warm atmosphere because of the great people and beautiful courtyard. It is perfect if you want to relax and try out dancing tango. During the day it is wonderfully quiet in the courtyard, enough shade so great for reading. In the evening there are group tango lessons from different teachers. Also we can recommend taking private lessons; in 1 private lessons you learn as much as in 10 group lessons! The location is great; very easy to go anywhere you want. This guesthouse is perfect for whatever kind of holiday you want; active and/or relaxed. It is also very easy to get to know the other guests; the tango group lessons give the opportunity to meet everyone and in our case the guests were just as fun and charming as the Portenos (locals) we met! This guesthouse made our holiday most of all about meeting lots of special people and making real connections to them! We stayed in a room facing the street and had no problems, in fact we never slept so good as during this holiday! However, if you are a light sleeper you can better get a room facing the courtyard because the street can be busy and it is thin-walled. For us however, the old building with its imperfections only added to the charm and character of the place.

Room Tip: Take a room that doesn't face the street if you are a light sleeper.

This guesthouse is excellent in Buenos Aires if you want to experience some Tango in a very easy way, as they offer free tango lessons for the guests every day, and you can try different teachers almost every day. That is really fun! Location is good-ish close to a main street where buses to Boca stop and also the metro Olleros that can take you to any atraction. It is located in Palermo, but in a quiet residential part, to go to the trendy area you have to walk 10min. cross a dodgy looking bridge and you are there. The breakfast is basic, but ok, the staff is nice (only Flor the receptionist, I guess she should try to get a better fitting job for herself) but she tried... The house is a very nice old house. The rooms have high ceilings, the plumb system as already mentioned cannot handle toilette paper, but that is no worries. The external and internal toilettes are ok. For us it was the best option to try out the tango and live the Buenos Aires flair. We were very happy to stay there for 10 nights

Room Tip: The street rooms are noisy, it is better to get the ones at the back.

Thanks for your useful comments.
We always pay attention to our guests feedback and try to take actions according to them.
We just wanted to mentioned that we also realized that Florencia was not proper for the receptionist job and she has already been replaced.
We hope that next time you come you'll find the person who's now in this position more appropiate for the job.
Kindest regards,
Cinthia

This B&B has an undeniable charm - cute wall hangings, beautiful indoor courtyard, nice breakfast in a sun-lit room, clean rooms, etc. Maria, who runs the place, is very warm and friendly.
Certain aspects are less charming - an "ancient" plumbing system which can not handle paper, bucket under a leaker radiator, very loud noises throughout the morning (our room did not face the street; I imagine that ones that do are even worse), and spotty internet access.
That said, I would recommend staying there, especially to people who want to learn tango. Every evening, a different local teacher gives a free beginner lesson in a studio at the back of the courtyard. Taking a free lesson for a few days is a great way to be expose to different teachers and then pick one for the private lessons. They also provide a lot of useful information on the local tango scene.
