This is where you take a day to walk around, have brunch or go out to enjoy dozens and dozens of bars, local craft beers are metastasizing around. Cool shops, barber's all kind of SOHO shops around. As Cool as it gets in the city, enjoy.

Wonderful area of the city. This a big city. Good to have an area for grounding. Great bars and restaurants. If we return, we will stay here and take the metro to other areas.

It's a fascinating area with sheet metal buildings and a historical view of what housing looked like. When we entered the street, we were accosted by tango dancers who asked for $5USD to pose with you. They put a hat and scarf on my husband in milliseconds and then you had no choice. So both of us did it and although we were uncormfortable with the high pressure tactics but have to say that having the picture after the fact is very memorable. So just go with it, take the pictures and enjoy the nice walk through the street. You'll see lots of local artists with their paintings and artwork, musicians and small shops. We walked through it probably in 30 minutes as we were on a tour but you could spend more time or less depending on your level of interest.

This neighborhood is funky and interesting. Shopping was great, unique items and winter sales were a plus! Walkable and nice to stroll, shop, eat. Relaxing. Reminded me a lot of the Village in NYC, back in the 80's, before it got gentrified. If you like a change of scenery from all the grand architecture in B.A., this is funky cool and very enjoyable area to spend time in.
