This isn't normally in our price range !! Thanks to Holiday Inn Points we stayed here for 3 days.
We paid the extra and went to Club Level. This was well worth the money if you schedule allows you to be back in the hotel by early evening. Good access to the Subte network and always able to hail cabs outside.This is our third stay and each time has been a pleasure. The only pitfall is the lack of free WIFI which when staying at this level is really Poor

Room Tip: Pay the supplement and go Club

The Intercontinental was quite elegant, and the one meal we had on their outdoor terrace was excellent. Definitely comfortable. Not the best area, but lots of BA is kind of disintegrating. it is walking distance to the antiquarian section, and to lots of shopping if that's what you want. Very close to Cafe Tortoni whereyou should have coffee.
Be careful ont he sidewalks, not because of the pickpockets everyone worries about but because the infrastructure is disinterating - lots of missing cobbles, crumbling curbs. But it's lovely all the same.
Oh, yes, free wi fi in themain lobby.

This is a really nice hotel. Many places in the historic sector, where this hotel is situated, is within easy reach.
I enjoyed the nice sectioned lobby, and clean spacious rooms.

Excellent in;
- quality of food served in the restaurants
- services of staff especially in the restaurants
- English speaking personal

Beware of;
Reccomendations by the concierge on Tango shows. They try to push an off beat show called - El Querandi, stating its less touristy etc.
Honestly, not true at all. It's a very pricey option, very small auditorium, obstructed by a central pillar, so very few can see the stage performers fully. All in all a very dissapointment show, and I was more dissapointed that the concierge pushed that show on to me.

My local friends laughed at my choice the next day and took me to Señor Tango show, simply fantastic performance (more then 3 times the dancers), terrific costumes and high quality Tango.

Other then this, great hotel, very nice staff. In fact the restaurant I ate in we're very kind to allow me to taste local drinks like Fernet, before I ordered on.

Definitely a great location, and a lovely ambience.

Dear Guest,
We would like to thank you for your comments. I am glad to know that you have enjoyed our quality of food in the restaurants as well as the serivce provided by our staff.
I will extend yoour comments about Tango show recommendations to our Concierge team. There are many different places to visit with different performances. It would be better to give you more that one alternative so you can select the one that you prefer.
Thank you very much for your feedback and we look foward to welcoming back again soon.

Our first 5 star experience. Now we know what we have been missing. Very impressed with the competence of each person on staff, knew their job and acted efficiently. The dining was excellent and well priced, breakfast buffet (included) was nicely presented and wonderfull selection of international foods.The sleeping rooms were well appointed and great for sleeping. Language is not an issue at any time.

Room Tip: high is great views, street noise is no problem
