We picked this hotel by random for a one night stay in this neighborhood and it worked nicely. Even though our taxi dropped us off at the entrance, we still had to look a bit to see the entrance. The staff speaks English and are extremely helpful with whatever is needed. I say the hotel "feels" like an old house because it probably was, and that both adds to the ambiance -- definitely a boutique style hotel - and takes a little away...the rooms are small and do show some signs of wear, but everything feels tidy and clean. Our room overlooked a very narrow walkway full of trees and plants, which helped give the hotel an oasis feel. The neighborhood immediately around the hotel doesn't really open up until 8:30 p.m. or later, although there is some shopping nearby. If you need an ATM to get currency, you will need to walk a half mile or so towards Palermo Hollywood to a Main Street that has some banks and a Shell station with an ATM.

Breakfast was decent in a nice airy and open room or outdoor table overlooking the tine pool/garden area. Location is excellent, in a quiet part of a popular nightlife area.

This hotel has the best of both worlds. It is in a good neighborhood, close to the metro and many shops and restaurants. And it has its own private courtyard with a garden and swimming pool where you have complete peace and quiet!
The staff were super nice and they speak English!

L'Hotel was a bag of mixed feelings. All the staff was great. At all times! Very polite and helpful. The building is very, very charming. the internal gardens are great and the breakfast room is very pleasant.
We were not impressed with the rooms though. Our room on the ground floor was compact. But it had quite a bit of mould. Mouldy walls, floor skirting. Late at night there was not really hot water on the shower, just warm. In the morning, the water was very hot, as we would have expected. We had the impression the water heater was switched off for the night.
The rooms do deserve some revamping, they have great potential. For the time being, they are just average. We stayed in better properties in Palermo for the same price. Look carefully.

hotel entance looks like a house from the outside, which the us off when we got there. however the room and service were very good and the staff friendly and attentive. the garden in the middle is definitely a plus, it gives the hotel a very nice feel.

This hotel feels like a magic kingdom, a secret garden, a storybook heaven. You don't even notice the door on the street. You walk into an Art Deco paradise, with a swimming pool, a garden, vines as if you're in a magic dreamscape. The hosts and staff are SO helpful and friendly. I spent the most relaxing and rejuvenating week there. I was there for work but left feeling like I'd been on vacation, thanks to this magnificent hotel. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The coffee is delicious, and there are plenty of comfortable work spaces with excellent, strong wifi. The hosts and everyone who works there are absolutely charming and helpful. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Room tip: I stayed in a room near the street, which was noisy only on Saturday night :) I suspect every room is great!
