good german food (pork, chucrut, sausages, etc.) and other typical dishes of Argentina. The place is very famous and is close to the theaters of Corrientes Street.

After attending the outstanding Performance of the La Orquesta Filarmónica de Buenos Aires on a cold Thursday night, we walked the short 2 blocks between the theater and the restaurant. We were lucky to be seated right away in such crowded night. Everything about the restaurant was a classic affair. The pork filet and large mixed tasty vegetables plate was delicious and light. Dessert was a perfect flaky apple strudel and the Malbec was divine ...Waiters were helpful and knowledgeable ...and to spice up the night the Filarmónica's conductor showed up also for dinner which was welcomed with an thunderous applause...So if you want a traditional classy dining experience you surely won't be disappointed .

*** English translation below ***

Strategically located in Libertad St. and Corrientes Av., it's near almost every major theatre in the area. The restaurant is aware of this, thus remaining open after most shows are over. No matter how late at night, at Edelweiss they'll be serving.

It's a big saloon, old-German-tavern style, which provides an unusual setting in Bs. As. You can either have some big round table with friends, or a intimate two-table booth.

Waiters have been working there for long. They know their job, and they'll remember whatever your command without writing a single word down.

The menu has tasteful, good sized offers. However, if you're vegan, or looking for something more innovative, you'll be disappointed. It is of course an excellent place to have some good argentine beef.

For its location, prices are reasonable.

This place is a true treasure in Buenos Aires. I ate there several times a week when I worked in B'Aires. The service, the food, the ambience was always perfect!

it's a must, normally you can find some of the performer during the evening, normally you have to book particulary after Opera.-
